MFC Debt Free in 2021
The Joseph Gutnick Board and CEO Hassa Mann started the MFC/Bentleigh Club alignment, which today sees us with a $20 million asset. Saving us from a merger and helping our long term financial future. Added to a personal $2.7 million donation, Gutnick , who really knew nothing about footy, has left a lasting contribution to the MFC. Now we are a debt free club. Wow!

COVID Breaches by Clubs Could Derail Season
That is in the script. Wait and see the next ANB type tackle and if it’s a name player, watch the way it is differentiated and penalised.

COVID Breaches by Clubs Could Derail Season
Because that isn’t in the script.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Bulldogs
Disagree. While he is clearly not best 22, he has some ability and every side needs some backup players to cover injuries. I have several players marked for leaving the list at year’s end and he is not one of them. HOWEVER, backup players aren’t kept forever, so depending on list makeup and size over the next year or so, you may end up correct and he could be gone, if he is not seen as a required player.

Tom Lynch Incident (incl. Dimma vs The Ox)
No. I am sure he would be fined for that.

Tom Lynch Incident (incl. Dimma vs The Ox)
The game is already in disrepute.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Bulldogs
He might play in the Alice Springs game.

NON MFC: Round 12
Blues set up for an easy win, playing a tired Suns off a 4 day break.

NON MFC: Round 12
Is Lynch going to get a week at least, for his third punch behind play, putting a guy down and out of the play?

The Breaking of Nathan Jones
Agree. Everyone watches what clubs do in these situations, not least of all the players. You give respect back for loyalty. That is what successful clubs do and that is part of building a strong culture. If he gets there this year great, if not he is given the chance to get there next year. It wouldn't be on big money and a coaching role could be part of it, if he got there and then retired, or stayed on to play at Casey and teach the younger players. The guy is a MFC great and they are to be treasured, not p-ssed on.

My 3 word player analysis v Collingwood
Would love that.

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
I am stunned he didn’t have a tackle, I am sure I saw him tackling. Will have to watch again and keep an eye on him. I didn’t think his disposal was 50% either but maybe I was just excited with the win and his possessions. I am not saying he is a star but rather what I said earlier, that on a wet day I would rather have him over Hannan.

TEAMS: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Hannan has averaged 7 possies in last 3 games, all dry and no tackles in his last 2. He has kicked 1.1 in three games. Nothing in 2 games. Yes, in the wet I would have AVB.

Who would you want in a predicted wet game, Hannan or bash and crash VDB?

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
They still will have Treloar, DeGoey, Howe, Sier, Roughead,, Quaynor and Langdon missing. Pendles could still pull out. I think back to that last game in 2017, where we had to win to make the finals, against a depleted Pies side and we lost playing a shocker. That has been our mantra over the last 20 years.
-
CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Didn’t think Pendles would play. He and Sidebottom have to be stopped, as they are the main goal assist players for the Pies.

Where is Koladjashnij
Like the McCartins, he was the better player of the brothers, but because of concussions, the other brother has played more. There is a lot of luck involved in having a long footy career.

Don't think he will play.
