He has already arranged for a "stacked vote" on the issue.

IMO, because of the way this season has and is unfolding, no Premiership Flag should be awarded. Teams that should have had softer draws have lost them. Games have been abandoned. Some matches are suggested to be against depleted sides. Teams being forced to play extra games during the week, affecting those games and the following ones. This is a joke of a football season, that of course is out of the AFL's control, as they just need the money for games on TV. So no flag to the winner, unless of course it is Melbourne and then it should count as three Premiership Flags because of the difficulties we faced.

One of my favourite posts ever on DL. I loved that show as a kid. I have the DVD's of every episode.

No he wasn’t at the club this morning.

Was always going to happen and it won’t be the last incident. This season might struggle to get to a finale. Everyone stay safe.
-
Agree. Someone pointed out we have 2 second gamers in the side and 3 who haven’t played much footy in last couple of years. I wonder if that is a concern.

With Langford and Stringer on the bench, it is a bit taller than ours, but yes I see your point. Looking like Smith might play forward at some stage for us then.
-
Didn't know that.

Mama Told me not to Come, was Three Dog Night.

Yes he could be the other one.
-
Yes of course.

So Tom Mac is only chop out for Gawn and need him as only key forward as well, who BTW is totally out of form. I find the team selection bewildering. We have a stack of half forwards though, bewildering.

That is becoming a major problem. Have you noticed that most Coaches have a headset or telephone to use during the game. You never see Goodwin with either. Maybe I am nitpicking, but we do seem to have a record of run ons against us, where we apparently do nothing to stop them, unless the line coaches of which there are now fewer, make the calls.

1ml predicted Sunday and possible shower. That is hardly wet conditions.

They are saving him for the Cats at the G next week to reprise his 2018 final against them,

Who moved the thread onto the General Board?

That could turn out to be a problem going forward, if we are going to give games to guys who are out of form, or even past it. Nev's last 2 games have been poor and he looks very slow. Not saying he is past it, but he is certainly past his best footy. But he wasn't alone on saturday, with a number of our players playing very poorly.

What they're saying down at Royal Parade
Redleg replied to Queanbeyan Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
And you would be half correct. -
Someone forgot to tell Nev though. That kick with a minute to go was diabolical.

Saints have 7 new players and seem to be going ok tonight,

Yes I said it badly. What I meant to say is that 1-2 changes doesn’t make us suddenly a good side, it is a club wide problem. Actually thought 2 of our best with the ball yesterday were 2 first gamers for the club, Bennell and Rivers.

Agree. Oh and we are super fit too, 1 point to 3-5 in the last and they were a man down for 3/4. Sick of the excuses too.

TBH OD, I don’t think there are too many happy Dees fans today, maybe relieved, but not happy. To be 45 points up early in a second quarter and then to score one goal two points for the rest of the game, on a dry ground, is an absolute disgrace. Making it worse, they were one man down during this period. Happy, no, relieved we are 1-1, maybe. The cattle are not the problem here, the mindset of players and the coaching is, coupled with a lack of disposal skill under pressure. Leaving your man to go 3 up in defence is just dumb. Kicking to outnumbered team mates is just dumb. Not adapting to a run on by the opposition is just dumb. After 60 years of fanatically supporting this club, it is bloody hard to keep going, when everyone but the people in charge apparently, can see what is wrong. Simple task this week, anyone who kicks to an outnumbered player against the Bombers, can run the tan as an extra bit of work and put their place in the team the next game at risk.

Our biggest problem is turnovers and keeping possession and he is number 1 for turnovers. Look at Eagles game again.

There is the usual get out of jail card. The real problems are still there as I have banged on about for years. We lack skill, brains and good coaching to adapt to run ons by the opposition. Carlton came back when they started winning clearances, we turned over the ball and then lost structures. Watch the game again people and you will see how many times we turnover the ball, when we have possession, by poor kicking and poor decisions, in kicking to 1 on 2 or 3 opponents. Why? Keep possession and we win easily. Also when Pittonet improved in the ruck, we did nothing different. Max should have belted the ball forward to change the dynamic and stop the clearances. Our lack of disposal skill has killed us for years and continues to do so. Lastly, the Coach seems to do nothing to change what is happening. Why? Fix these areas and we are a reasonable side.
