    Which Cats are from WA?

Understand what you are saying, but these days certain things have changed. For example, a few years ago who would have cared less about a player squeezing a team mates bum? If behaviour can be improved, to the team's benefit, then it is a positive. It may not be as obvious as a long goal on the field, or a screamer over the pack, but it all contributes to a strong, winning, good team culture.

1985 - 2007 at Junction Oval. As you know I was Team Manager of the Dees under Big Carl in 1979 and we trained on the G. Being on the ground with the boys was a time that I will never forget.

How many years has this been going on?

3 issues are probably relevant to note. It wasn't just milk, it was specially prepared protein smoothies, made for the players by someone whose job it was to do that, to aid recovery or whatever. Throwing it around was insulting to that person. It is much harder to clean from the floor, which according to Tracc is the job of the property staff. It was a bit embarrassing to do it to a young player. Interestingly all current and former players asked about Tracc's actions in helping to clean it off, said he did the right thing. They all agreed he showed leadership and concern about teammates and staff and that it was another one percenter and that they all counted in the race to be the best. PS. Chandler probably wasn't too concerned, but I bet he and other young players watching, were happy that Tracc showed concern for a young teammate. Another small step in building a good culture.
  6. Yes he could be an option for a midfield/wing role and he has great pace. He was top 10 in his draft year and if I recall correctly, it was his hammies, that kept failing him. If they are under control now, he could be a cheap option, that won’t hurt us if he doesn’t make it. It will be interesting to see the type of players we take in the msd, given our current playing list. Will this be a needs draft, or a best available at our pick draft?

If Clark does now want to go home, it makes sense that Freo is the likely club, especially as there are rumours that Cerra wants to do the same. Pennant has some good info from the west, so if Freo fear losing Cerra, they would be looking for players coming to them. Anyway if we can’t get someone like Clark, maybe a cheap option is Freeman who also has great pace. That can be changed.

Like we played Hunt forward and plenty on here wanted him gone. He is not that dissimilar to Hunt in his playing style. I remember when I pushed for Shai Bolton a few years ago, when he had only played a couple of games in the seniors and was playing most of the year in the VFL and the DL knock on him was we don’t need a Tiger’s seconds player. Just saying.

At the very worst. I think he is unhappy atm and a fresh start could be what he needs.

Dropped again for the 3rd or 4th time this year. As I said last year, I would target him. Half back or even solving our other wing issue. With Jetta probably gone and Hibberd near the end, he could be very useful for us.

Maybe not. Maybe it was just a minor injury in the first place.
  13. Eddie on Footy Classified tonight said " that there was no board vote in his 23 years as President." It was said answering a question about the new Pies board member, who is ineligible to vote until after the next AGM. If Eddie was serious, he has just admitted that the Pies were run without board input, or at least voting on issues. With the rules and legal ramifications on Directorships and Companies that is a staggering admission. I can't imagine any other President of an AFL football club, or any Chairman of a Company for that matter, admitting that.

Loved Tracc on 360 tonight being shown washing milk off Chandler, with a bottle of water, after the club song. Said he thought it was wrong to throw milk on a player and that it would be harder to clean off the floor. Said it was only a 1% er, but that they all counted. Said Gawn addressed the team about it.
  15. What is the situation with a NGA player who nominates for the mid season draft?
  16. Could have broken a rib. Fair enough, very clumsy.

But who goes out for him, Weid or BB.
  18. Redleg replied to Redleg's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
I thought Weid was buffeted and had his arms chopped every time he went for a mark, same as BB, both without any free kicks while Blues got soft frees all game. That said it wasn’t a great game from Weid and BB was poor. It will take time.

It would be nice for him to do well in a winning side and be part of it again. Will help with re signing him. Well that’s a start.
  20. I would probably go for Langdon’s twin brother.
  21. Opinion or inside knowledge?

Lets all hope Weid plays well in a winning side and stays in from now on and signs a new contract extension fairly soon.

Looks like the Weid issue is solved, with Jackos busted finger, keeping him out for a week or two.
  25. With Weid in you have the same amount of talls we have had for the last few weeks. I would imagine one of Weid, BB, Tom Mac and Gawn will be on the bench at any one time during the game, thereby having a balance of key forwards and a ruckman on the ground. That way we are not top heavy up forward and one big guy is freshening for a few minutes.
