  1. Tom Mac says hi.
  2. He won't be getting that from anybody.
  3. I think Hawks ruled themselves out today on both Treloar and Phillips, but yes they do lie and Bell walked away from Hogan 2 years ago and we know what happened then.
  4. If we said to Phillips, 3 years at $400k, which is your $1m owed for 2 from Pies, plus an extra year reduced he gets another year guaranteed playing and with a slight easing of tax, he wouldn't lose much if anything with lower income and another year of deductions. Pies would just about hand him to us for nothing, as they need a domino to fall and quickly. Maybe we are just not interested in him. Surely he is better than AVB, ANB, Jetta and Jones at their age, Hibberd with one year left, M.Brown, Smith and a number of others. Anyway this is a strange trade period, so in a few days we will know where we are.
  5. Well, if we want him he could now be ours for the taking, as no apparent interest from other clubs and Pies desperate to make cap space. One would think with Langdon controlling one wing, Phillips with some help from Baker, Hunt and Tomlinson, could manage the other. Wing positions filled.
  6. Drop a bit more weight and work on acceleration and holding marks if he stays.
  7. Why, he is average or below on everything except tackles. Less than 10 disposals a game. We already have those. 9.8 AVERAGE KICKS 5.6 AVERAGE HANDBALLS 4.2 AVERAGE MARKS 1.7 BELOW AVG TACKLES 2.8 ABOVE AVG GOALS 0.6 AVERAGE
  8. Add Kent and Parker and Hind atm to the list and more mids in Hanneberry, Bytel, Ross, Steele and Phillips, That is 17 small mids/fwds before Higgins arrives. I just can't understand why a small forward would choose the Saints. To me it is just crazy.
  9. Why not, everyone else does?
  10. Haven’t tried Max there. Tom is far too slow and immobile to play wing.
  11. Are you seriously suggesting that Tom could play wing in 2021? Wow!
  12. The Crows have lost Hartigan and might need to replace him.
  13. I would imagine any club getting a player from another club has to offer 2-3 years at least. So the period is not the problem. If it is the $700k, we could possibly pay $100k of that this year and maybe the next. Surely you would be offering a big key forward like Tom, $500-$600k a year, if you wanted him to join your club. The real question might be do other clubs want him anyway. If not, we get him fit and try and get the best out of him and look at moving on a couple of fringe players, like AVB and ANB, to save cap room. Not sure what Mitch Brown's position is, but if Tom stays he could be at risk. Brown actually played well enough to get another year with us. The cap is affecting a lot of players this year, as deals are getting harder to do, even though with list sizes smaller say by 2 next year, unless the cap has been reduced, there should be a bit more to spread around. This could be a period of adjustment on contracts coming up.
  14. It is actually worse. His last 3 years are reported at well over $1m each year. That could be about $1.1m - $1.2m a year, for 3 last years of his contract at age 30-32. WOW! That is mind blowing.
  15. Petty is our best one grab marking key forward atm and a future regular best 22 player. Big, strong, young and talented, why on earth would we even consider moving him on.
  16. The $100k offered each year by the Pies, is totally insignificant. If that is all they will pay, he is staying put.
  17. What about a certain maybe, or a probable possibility.
  18. Well I have info which I can’t share, but I could be wrong about that.
  19. Now reported in the Hun.
  20. Clearly this is the start of another deal.
  21. What did he say?
  22. Not sure that’s true.
  23. You did it again, we are in awe.
  24. See ET’s post after yours. I am not up to it ET is the King with Dr. Evil the Prince.
  25. McKernan a Saint done. Sorry, I feel like ET the trade news breaker, deal was already announced.
