Wow, did I mozz him? First quarter against Tiges he missed a set shot from about 12 metres out, straight in front and then kicked into the man on the mark and nearly conceded a goal. Didn't see him touch it other than that, though i missed the first few minutes of the quarter.

Mitch Brown is out.

One of Petty, Weid, Chandler and Sparrow won't play for Casey. Pretty sure it won't be Sparrow, who was sub last week and Petty seems unlikely with May back, so its Weid or Chandler. More likely to be Chandler as sub than Weid. I thought Weid would be playing, but maybe the weather played a part. Tigers happy to play two tall specialist key forwards, while we have gone for a young forward ruck and a mid sized forward in Fritta, while Tom Mac seems to play more up the ground than key forward.

I’d be ecstatic to win 3 of the next four Premierships and have other supporters not rate them.
-
That’s what I think. Otherwise I can’t understand how you keep a young key forward out, who has kicked 7 in the VFL the week before. I think we are more balanced and dangerous with another key forward.
-
That would be amazing after 7 goals for Casey and M. Brown not training and injured. Think you are wrong.

After his start to this year, no way. He will be playing Saturday night, unless a mystery injury, but then he wouldn't be playing for Casey either.

Kate Roffey Set to Become President of the MFC
Redleg replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
If she said one thing we would all be satisfied. " Congrats to all at the MFC for winning the 2021 Premiership". -
Wonder if we get more people at our Anzac game on Saturday night, than the other one during the day?
-
We now have Salem, Hunt and Rosman from that deal, via Tyson for Preuss and then Preuss pick for Rosman. If I got that right that is pretty good I would have thought. All 3 players will be in our AFL side before too long IMO and for what it is worth, I wouldn’t swap Salem for Kelly. I think we need Salem more than Kelly with our current list.

Congrats Chunk, hope you and your family and the Dees have a great night. You have earned this big time and you have etched your name in the history of the MFC and the AFL. Well done and hopefully the boys can make it extra special with your 99th win with the Dees.

One of the signs of a good club. The good thing is we can now bring in more players who are not terrible. Incidentally I thought Joel Smith was playing really well until injured. He can’t take a trick.
-
As I said earlier in the thread I was really impressed with Deakyn Smith. He is very balanced and composed and sure with his ball handling. I think we have found another player.
-
Did you notice a new found aggression and a bit of nastiness as well?
-
Yep, 2 games in a COVID mad year and some nearly write him off. He has definitely improved and significantly. IMO he will be a better player than Spargo and ANB long term. He has some real X factor, that I also saw in Shai Bolton when he was playing VFL and couldn’t get a game with the Tigers. Time will tell.

Good luck this season Dec.

Watch the Casey game on Kayo and you will change your opinion on that.
-
Watched the Casey game with an emphasis on another kid I have a lot of faith in and he was great. Toby has pace as we all know, but he now is an aggressive pressure player, who doesn't allow easy possessions to the opposition He now has very good disposal skills, as well as the ability to make a goal from nothing. IMO he will be a regular in the AFL side sooner than later and with Kozzie will prove an absolute handful for the opposition. I also thought Deakyn Smith was very good and looks a player. Rosman also looks a likely type and Bowey's disposal is superb. We now have significant depth.

We all knew it would happen. I would tell him to stop playing.

It is not just the advertising, the music is far worse.
-
Have now passed it on to 2 contacts in the media, Sun and Fox Footy. Will see if something happens.
-
And obviously “deaf “ barbarians.
-
I have contacted the AFL and will see if anything happens.
-
I am contacting the AFL over this. Maybe the threat of litigation for impaired hearing and voice boxes will get some action.
-
Is anyone else being driven mad by the constant barrage of deafening music being played at the footy? It is played right up until the bounce starting each quarter and is so loud, you can't even hear the person next to you speak. People are screaming at each other and it is destroying the experience for me. If I want to go to a concert I will go to one, but this is footy, so at least turn it off 5 minutes before the bounce, so we can soak in the atmosphere of the game. It is a disgrace!!!!!!!!!!!!!
