If Kozzie stays with us, I wouldn’t think we would be chasing him, given our last list changes. If Kozzie goes, I would think our Port targets would be Rozee and Butters, though they might be ungettable. Good news would be a Kozzie multi year contract extension.

If we play such a predictable forward entry game, bombing it to the left forward pocket boundary every time, then it suggests that JJ was playing to instructions, as if he wasn’t, he would have been dropped or changed the way he played. As Adonski just posted, he was 4th in the B&F at round 16. Obviously the Coaches thought he was playing well and to instructions. I posted on DL before JJ had played a senior game and when most on DL wanted him delisted, that he would be a senior player. Incidentally, were you one of the ones who wanted him delisted? I don’t blame JJ for his slowing the game down, I blame the Coaching.

We have 2 firsts and 2 seconds next draft and you could be pretty safe in thinking we will target another Kozzie type and a couple of inside mids.

Yes I know. We certainly have come a long way. Senior flag, Casey flag, AFLW flag and a strong list in each club going forward. More flags and a new club training/home and we are in a great position for continued success.

We made a bad mistake this season, in not keeping the team fresh, like the Cats did and it cost us, with our team being completely banged up by finals time. We have depth and maybe a smarter use of the list will help us next season. With a good injury run, some players are going to get limited games, but that is the way of successful teams these days. Tomlinson for example, was unwanted by other clubs, so he plays his time at Casey, unless an opportunity arises. He and Joel Smith for example, won’t be with us in 2 years, so the evolution of the list continues.
