  1. But these aren't mistakes. This is blatantly being scared to award the opposition there correct free kicks for fear of crowd reaction, pure and simple. Are you saying it was just mistakes that saw us get 3 free kicks in 3/4, when we are up on possessions and ultimately win the contest? These were two very inexperienced umpires, one a local, who were obviously not wanting to upset a feral crowd. It's not good enough in professional sport. These umpires have to be spoken to and told, " pay what you see or that's it."
  2. The punch was higher, probably the ribs and would hurt at that instant.
  3. He kicked 2 goals for the day, both from dubious free kicks.
  4. And what would Scotty, Dimma, Simmo, Fages, Hinks, Ratts, Horse and others have said and done about that?
  5. Surprise, umpire 20, who I don’t think paid a single Dees free, is an SANFL umpire with little AFL experience, having one AFL game before this year. Jamie Broadbent. Umpire 31 Paul Rebeschini had 8 AFL games before this year. Both would have been affected by crowd.
  6. 16-3 after quarter time. That is not an accident. Are umpires 20 and 31 locals? Well done boys, no ruck and beat 21.
  7. We have had 1 free in last 2 quarters. Nothing new.
  8. They don’t need glasses they are seeing everything. They are choosing which frees to pay. We got none that quarter. Crowd thinks that is too many. We have a Captain on the ground and he should be asking why it is happening before they start the second half. Also this bombing into the forward line to a one on two or even three is just dumb. Kick it wide or along the ground, to get our small forwards into the game.
  9. Been going all year and we say nothing.
  10. Nothing new.
  11. We just offered the house on the top to Luke, as holiday home for the family, if he re signs for a long term.
  12. Are they still running VFL games on Kayo or only AFL app?
  13. I think if you wanted to leave your manager wouldn’t fly in for talks. You would just say email us your offer and we will consider it and then keep stalling. This does sound a little promising. But then again!
  14. Hopefully a slight strain, needing a week's rest if you are being cautious. Allows time to do other things, like discussing your contract.
  15. I recall us playing WC in Perth some years ago, where in the first half the frees were about 20 nil their way, then we got our only free in the first half, a few seconds before half time. It didn’t improve in the 2nd half. We have had shocking runs against the Dogs, Pies and Blues several times.
  16. Well we have been told his Manager would be in Melbourne this weekend by media sources and I think someone on DL. We know Jacko stayed in Melbourne. I assume our List Manager is in Melbourne.
  17. I know we are all meant to take it easy on the umpires, so to keep it fair, I will just say they were pathetic. They somehow contrived to give Carlton frees that were not there and at the same time, deny the Saints frees that were there.
  18. Jacko in Melbourne with his Team manager from Perth and MFC List Manager. Get it done boys.
  19. Umpire who gave free to McKay should never umpire again and McKay suspended for acting. Touched in arm and throws head back. Pathetic.
  20. Could he be injured?
  21. Don't think so.
  22. No he didn't. The club organised the video and if he is to be believed, the victim accepted the apology and was happy to support the apology and video. Tex actually looked extremely uncomfortable in the video. Obviously wasn't his idea. FWIW, I would imagine if every AFL player's private comments to a mate were made public, there would be a lot of embarrassed people and clubs in the AFL
  23. Yes and also because he had played in the ruck for a few years and was going ok at CHB for Casey as well IMO, meaning he was developing. I do agree that long term he may not have made it, but with no ruck depth and not getting anyone else, I would have kept him another year. After our main 2, I think we have about the worst ruck depth in the AFL and we have Key forward issues too just by the way.
  24. Thilthorpe in now with Walker and Fogarty. Hopefully they are a little top heavy now.
  25. We are only talking on the possibility of Jacko missing this week. Gawn looks likely next week. If Jacko plays we go as selected and no Bradtke would not be picked ahead of Weid. Whatever happens we need ruck depth next year, even if Jacko stays. As someone posted above, with Daw gone, T Mac injured and getting older, there are not many options outside the big two.
