Couldn't he still have 3 other grandparents alive?
-
This is my take on the Jacko situation. Luke would obviously be happy to be home and if he was, he wants to play with the club he barracked for and his family is connected with. It doesn’t hurt that they are now successful. He is happy to return home, if both clubs can do a fair deal. If not, most likely he will stay with us for another 2 years and see where it’s at then. I don’t think he is driving this or demanding to leave, but rather Freo have seen the opportunity to get him. We hold the cards and if no deal can be done to our satisfaction, I am sure Luke will sign on for 2 more years. I am pretty confident Freo have driven this, knowing they have a willing participant, in the right circumstances. I think he is happy to stay for a couple of years at least, but would also be happy to return home and play with Freo and Freo probably know exactly that. He may have simply said "yes if you can get me I will come, if not I stay a Dee." So Mr. Bell, you make us happy or he stays, end of story. PS: Personally, I hope if he does go, players are involved, as picks are speculative and take time to turn into regular players in your best 22, if at all.

Now where have I seen that before?
-
I support Melksham, but am stunned he has been picked on form, over Chandler, who has been great at Casey. Only thing I can think of is Melksham has been picked because there is a role they see him better at, even while badly out of form. He might kick 5 and shut everyone up, or he might go kickless and DL will light up.

I would rather ensure we play our first final in Melbourne. Win and G for PF and then hopefully!
-
We know 2 top 5 picks are not possible. Freo will have to deal a very good player, a nice pick and a medium player to get this done. The media were gushing over Jacko last year and saying he is a generational player, so he should be regarded as such in any trade, if Freo want him that bad.
-
Media would suggest Freo give us their first pick, say 16 and deal done.

No game last night, as AFL couldn’t find another team off a five day break, after playing interstate, to play at the Kitty Litter construction venue.

Watching you tube videos and finally realised who your avatar is, a drummer.
-
Yes, but as Jeremiah the Bullfrog always said, One is the loneliest number.
-
He should be 200 cms by draft night.
-
Port stronger and us much weaker with the changes. Will need a big effort.
-
Agree.
-
I thought we were discussing Chandler.
-
Whose place will he take in 23 to be a regular?
-
That's the whole point, he is not getting regular games and that is why he may decide to move on.
-
Yes you did. If he shows promise and is not getting a game, why wouldn't he look around? It's not just clubs that let players go, players also leave because they want better opportunities.
-
Buddy will be 36 next January.
-
i think you just answered your own question.
-
If they got the bloke they wanted, his salary would cause them to let go of players and Lobb has stated his partner wants to get back to the East Coast. Freo might not want Lobb to go, but if they get their man and hopefully not, they will need to make cap space.
-
Well there you go, I thought he was playing rock, paper, scissors with Max.
-
BTW have a look at the last posts on the Jacko thread.
-
Lucy, we are getting confused here about Lobb and Jacko. My original post was about Freo wanting Lobb to stay, who is contracted btw for next year, in connection to not getting Jacko. Whatwhatsaywhat was commenting on Lobb's good year this year and that the word is he's gone, even though he is contracted.
