  1. 28, not quick and poor culture. Wow! I hope not. Where is that key forward, unless we think we can draft one with the picks we are getting. There is one we could get with a pick in the 20's.
  2. Well that would put a smile on my dial. However Harmes has been a good and versatile player for us.
  3. Wow! A Dees supporting best 22 Premiership player possibly leaving, following on from Jayden and Jacko and also Bedford for more opportunities. Don’t think I have seen this many regulars leaving in one off season.
  4. Very impressive. Well spoken, over all the facts and respectful to all.
  5. I wonder what it would take to get them interested, if we could get him interested. Bedford is a small entree, before the main meal.
  6. Probably no chance this year, unless we could add a player to Bedford and a good pick. Even that probably won’t get them interested, unless he could convince them he will leave next year.
  7. Ssh, we may be interested in Finn Callahan, who we looked at in his draft year, but he went far too early for us and he was a Dees supporter.
  8. Could be time to add him to the Jacko trade.
  9. I thought Kozzie lived with Rivers and Jacko.
  10. Well he is apparently giving an extra year to two favourites.
  11. Even me?
  12. Some want to pay nothing for Grundy, some pick 30 or worse, others are accepting we may have to use a late first round pick. The deal will get done, both clubs will say they are happy and Grundy will say he is happy to be with us, as we wanted him and we are very professional. DL will continue discussing whether it was a good/bad deal and whether we should have got him in the first place. A new issue will eventually take over on DL and the sun will rise tomorrow.
  13. And the Cats get stronger with the Rohan replacement.
  14. And maybe Tom Mitchell and a couple of others I forget atm.
  15. But despite all that players still want to go to the Pies and other clubs like them.
  16. Agree, what Pendles obviously meant was, if he reduces his contract by about 50%. I remember Grundy saying at the time he was thrilled to be a Pie for life after knocking back other clubs offers.
  17. Yes that makes sense. He signs a 7 year deal because they love him and really want and need him. 2 years later after doing the same to a team mate, they tell him he can take a large pay cut, or is free to look around, as they need to adjust their salary cap. He now feels he has been lied to and gets angry with them. He sees the writing on the wall and meets the Dees and is impressed. He tells the Pies I am disappointed with you, but will leave, but go only to the Dees, if you can do a deal with them and I get my full contract pay, otherwise I stay. That is how I see the scenario playing out.
  18. I won’t swear to it, but I thought I saw a quote somewhere from Grundy saying he wanted to stay at Pies. Certainly several media quotes from the “experts “ have said this as well.
  19. They were/are both angry and dissatisfied because they were asked to leave. Both wanted to stay, take that to the bank. They were happy with their contracts and team mates.
  20. I suppose if we had better players for his position than Spargo, they would be playing instead of him.
  21. One of the problems is players like Spargo make space, flap their arms and yell for the pass and then are totally ignored. It is clearly better according to our coach, to bomb it long to the outnumbered contest and ignore players making space.
  22. That will probably restrict their trades in to Taranto and Hopper. That’s a big trade week anyway for the Tigers.
  23. At least we might be inclined then to stop the left forward pocket bomb as our our only method of scoring.
  24. What, both of them?
