Farewell Luke Jackson
I know this could sound silly, but I just wonder if the club sees some deficiencies in LJ's game and accept that at some stage he would like to go home and see this as an opportunity to solve our key forward and ruck issues, by perhaps getting a key forward and ruck from Freo, plus a pick good enough to get another key forward in the draft. That could end up 3 players for one, who are all best 22 for us. Tom and BBB could be on their last year next year and that allows refreshing of the list. M.Brown will be gone and who knows what the plans are for Weid. JVR is still to play and that would cover our key forwards and rucks and we could still draft or rookie a young developing ruck. I believe that we do hold the upper hand with this deal, if it happens at all. IMO LJ will not screw the Dees. So unless Freo satisfies us, he stays for a couple of years, or maybe even longer if he feels Freo has let him down.

Farewell Luke Jackson
That to me indicates what I have said for a while. Jacko will go to Freo if we can do a deal and if not, will sign for a couple of years. IMO he is happy to return home if a fair deal can be done and if not, he will not be devastated to stay a couple of more years and then maybe try again or even stay longer. I think this is about an opportunity that may be available, but obviously cant happen until the season is over. Too much water to go under the bridge with various players and deals.

There is Treacy, the Vic Country boy, who is 19 and 195cms and tough and hard at the contest. Him, a top pick to try and get another key forward and Meek could do it. Solves most of our problems with losing one player.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Sorry everyone, I should have said 5-6 years instead of about 5 years.

Players don’t have to work to supporters’ timetables. As much as we would like to know, it’s their lives.

Tom Browne would know how you feel.

What's the difference if Gus announces it on his podcast, instead of it being a tweet from Ralph, or McClure, or a breaking news flash from HS or the Age?

Both managed by TLA.

FIXTURE: Round 23, 2022
To have any realistic chance of a back to back flag, we have to get to a QF at the G, with close to our best side available. Given our last 8 games, I am not confident of that anymore.

That said, he could still do it on his Podcast if he wanted to.

It’s a big if. It’s said that we started our turnaround at a meeting pre season 2021 when everyone bought in to team first. Time for that meeting again.

Well if he lands at Eagles we get pick 2 and maybe a player. That just about guarantees us a key forward in the draft.

Game plans, tactics and all that jazz
Just how unprofessional are the clubs and players? Tracc early in the season was unaware of a rule change and tonight Toby Greene was unaware of the head high tackle rule change. They are not the only ones. Hardly a supporter wouldn’t know of rule changes. How is it players don’t know the rules of their workplace, given the money involved?

Won’t do it again but unfortunately for him, I said it first.

Farewell Sam Weideman
Its the old problem of having one key tall forward to kick to and he gets numbers back on him. Makes it impossible with the big bombing kicks then. Having another tall like Tom, spreads the defenders and allows one on one contests, which increases your chance of marking the ball.
