We cannot draft again from WA
Penn, I suggested Jefferson and George would be a great draft for our future quite a while ago. We would get one at 13, but not the other at 37. A trade up of 37 would be needed using a Future pick. What do you think about that scenario? Our need for another key forward is obvious to us all and Jefferson appears to be the next best after Cadman. If JT agrees that is probably it. George is the touted game changer who will be out next season, who but for injury, could have been too 5-10. It is a chance to get him lower than his value if we really want him and can get a trade up done. It wouldnât be easy. The other alternative is take one and whoever at 37.

And one of those was not wanted at the time.

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
If we did that we would probably not get Jefferson, George or Allan, if thatâs who we are looking at. IMO if we trade up, it will be by using 37 and a future pick. I canât see us trading 13, as that would get us the players named, except maybe Allan.

Harry Barnett
I canât see any way we will go for a ruckman with pick 13, given our current situation, with just adding Grundy, Schache and a Rookie. We also have Tom Mac back and a father son in a couple of years to develop. We can always add an experienced Rookie if needed in the next couple of years.

How many picks are they doing on the first night?

Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
After a point against, he kicks out to the left to the pack and when going forward, he bombs it in to the left pocket boundary.

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
He can take him on again, against the Giants.

Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
Gruzewski will be at GWS with one of their late teen picks.

Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
Given the amount of untried talent on the list, with 2 regular best 22's just added and another 3-5 changes next year, that is very understandable.

What is the effect of, or reason for, nominating a NGA player now?

Isaac Keeler
I think you mean "not" allowed to match in point 1.

Wow, 2 picks in the upcoming draft. I can hardly contain my excitement and there is still over 2 weeks to go. Wonder if Uncle Bitter will be stocking up on wine casks to help get him through the 2 night draft marathon. It is riveting TV, waiting for Gill to come out and announce the names and then hear Shifter Sheehan say that every player drafted is a great footballer. Then the player is interviewed and they say how much they like their new club and are so happy to go to the other side of the country, ( until they return ) a couple of years later. Then the panel dissects every player picked. You canât make this stuff up, no one would believe it. Then the 10 hours of draft TV are endlessly replayed in case you missed something. Gotta love it. Bring it on.
