  1. This is not a case of using words that people didn’t understand. The Cripps decision was a disgrace and imo a manufactured result, to let a leading Brownlow fancy and best player of a big club fighting for finals, continue to play.
  2. The Brisbane player was knocked out cold, from a bump, when Cripps left the ground. He was concussed and missed a few games. Ballard is uninjured and will play this week. Do you see any difference?

They are my second favourite team.
  4. Do you know the sport with the most serious knee and ankle injuries? Netball.
  5. Well maybe not wasting $4 million on consultancies, to simply appoint the 2IC in the office next door and paying millions and millions on Executive salaries, could provide plenty of money to fix some of their problems, which as you say are ruining our great game. I know the game has moved on, but years ago one guy and a couple of secretaries ran the game and everyone knew the rules and what to expect. One umpire on the ground, worked better than 4 umpires now, overruling each other from 200 metres away, seems to do now. I know there has to be progress, but it should lead to everything being better, not worse. Just a little monday rant.
  6. How do you reconcile it with Fogarty smashing Murphy last week and breaking his nose, with blood everywhere and not even a free kick and no citing, or even screaming by the media? He hit him like a train crash, front on. Injured. Off the ground. Nothing to see here boys.
  7. Do you smell a rat, in that Jay Clark and Ralph pushed for a suspension and then as soon as it was announced, before the Dees could have met to decide what action they would adopt, they have written again immediately, that the club will strongly defend him, meaning appeal and citing other cases and reasons why he should get off. How many clicks will this now all lead to?
  8. Murphy copped a broken nose with blood streaming. Ballard no injury. One was a smash to the face front on, the other a glancing blow by the underside of the arm to the top of the head. Which is worse?
  9. The vision is from behind. Who can see his eyes? What a crock! Spoiling a mark is a legal footy act. Coach Dew has stated no injury. What the hell is going on?
  10. He isn’t badly injured. No concussion, bone break, just a sore neck.
  11. If we don’t challenge this we are simply p-weak. No injury yet high impact.
  12. Underside of his upper arm connects, as his fist is trying to connect with ball. Jonathan Brown has said a suspension would be the worst tribunal decision ever. Pretty strong.

Damian Barrett is an absolute idi-t. He said on the Sunday Footy Show this morning, after Cornes, Stevie J and Nathan Brown with TJ also agreeing, said that JVR has absolutely nothing to worry about for a football act, Barrett said you can do something legal and still be In trouble and suspended and that he will get a week. Am I missing something, or is he a moron? Is football now ballet?
  14. We actually turn over possession a lot in the centre and at stoppages. We get first hands to the ball and fumble or handball poorly. Not sure why that is happening so much. Imagine how much better we would be with better ball handling and disposal.

It’s not so much the commentary, which is often inane, but rather the picking and choosing of what they show.

Can you tell me what they were for. I have no idea, as they weren't replayed.
  17. Whatever we do, we need an experienced key forward playing with JVR. We only have two. One is injured and both are near the end.

Everyone loves a conspiracy theory. With Dunstall and Derwayne openly barracking for the Suns, it was interesting that every time they said there should have been a Suns free or an incorrect free was paid to the Dees, the incident was replayed a couple of times and dissected by the commentators. However, contentious frees and goals paid to the Suns were totally ignored and no replay to show the incident/decision was seen. I had absolutely no idea why several frees and resultant goal decisions were paid to the Suns. How does this happen repeatedly in a game that is so heavily televised with multiple cameras? How many times was the JVR spoil on Ballard repeated? It seemed to be extremely selective vision and replays. Just a bit of fun for post game discussion, easier of course when you win.
  19. Very hard to compare players of different generations and I loved Robbie, my favourite player by a mile and a friend. That is why I chose my words about Clarry carefully.
  20. Oliver is one of the best players this club has ever had. He is probably the best contested possession player in the club’s history. Anything less than BOG, is seen as an ordinary performance.
  21. There was less than nothing in it. A normal football act of spoiling a mark and Ballard fell and bumped his head, giving him a sore neck. I thought Chol should have been reported on the spot for his dangerous act of belting a smaller player in the jaw, from behind, with a round arm. That is a suspension but I expect very little.
  22. It’s a result of having a better team and therefore heightened expectations. But yes, a win when we aren’t playing our best is a good result.
  23. Now they are trying to get JVR suspended saying his eyes weren’t on the footy the whole time. Not bad calling where his eyes are, looking from behind through the back of his head. Some in the media should be ashamed of their performance in their job, of not reporting news, but rather trying to create it.
  24. Turner found it hard against the big body of Casboult, but improved when he moved off him, before being subbed. He looks like once he puts on some more muscle, he will be a regular for us. He is a nice user of the ball as well.
  25. JJ - every possession effective AFL stats says on for 65% of game with 17 possies at 88% efficiency. I still say he was 100% effective.
