He is actually an ordinary player and often injured.

Not happening. The Eagles have been a basket case and AFL won’t allow that to happen. Curtin will be an Eagle.
  3. Michael Warner has just started crying.

Yes. We should have 18 play 9, to see who gets number 1 draft pick, or plays finals. That would be fun.

The last round is descending into chaos. Tanking to the fore for improved draft picks and the AFL will of course totally ignore it. Cats dropping everyone and looking to play the bootstudder. Better draft picks the reward. Dogs to get their first win at Geelong in 100 years, with Bevo declaring himself a master coach. North scared to death their players won’t listen and might try to win and thereby lose Harley. Will play only robotic incompetents this week. Gold Coast dropping stars to get a better pick to swap for points picks to get 3 young stars. Clubs outside the 8 might play their cheer squads to improve draft picks. Media urging clubs to tank. Farcical end to a season.
  6. As gs77 said above, life is so unfair sometimes. Hope his moments with the boys gave him some pleasure. Sincere condolences to all his family and friends. RIP little Dee.

Any North player that can mark, kick, handball, or even just run, will be managed.

Grundy off to Sydney, Hickey just retired.

Incorrect. Grundy has a deal with Pies separately, that they pay their share directly to him. If he leaves, new club will pay balance the same as we did. That’s two clubs and not even sure of the rule you mentioned.

Apparently eyeing a farm out Corio way.
  11. Depends how much we want Duursma and if Curtin can convince Hawks he will go home in 2 years.
  12. LDU, Simpkin, Wardlaw, Sheezel, Thomas, Reid, George, Larkey and more to come, with Clarkson, they won’t be cellar dwellers much longer.

    Hibbo possibly concussed.

I don’t know why people haven’t realized this.
  15. It’s a certainty. Players will have mystery injuries and illnesses during the week. Still need Hawks to beat Dockers, but Lewis and Newcombe could return.

That will not happen now, as AFL have got out of it, as Roos get best player in the country to add to what they already have. Also they need WC to have 2.
  17. The reason for splitting picks was probably only for Reid. They want Curtin and will take him at 2, as what could they split 2 for and still get him.
  18. Agree. Laurie was ok and you are correct, he is fighting for the Spargo spot. Think he may still leave.
  19. Yes but they still have Curtin. North could have called their bluff and said take Reid and we take Curtin. Then swap them 2 years later anyway. Both clubs now get their first choice player.
  20. Roos losing in the Reid cup is an absolute certainty.
  21. Redleg replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
But they will get the boy they want. Daniel Curtin is an Eagle.

Brayden George still to come with LDU, Simpkin, Thomas and Larkey up front. Building a very good side. I can see a few injuries before their game this week.
  23. It’s impossible to enjoy watching Melbourne games. Never put sides away early and result always in doubt. Btw my constant issue, we are going at 50% kicking efficiency to 87%. Why is that?
  24. Absolutely and I won’t mention that boundary umpire. Every time we get tackled, it’s holding the ball and we can’t get one as usual.
  25. I don’t think Jaded meant to knock people’s individual circumstances, she was just making a rallying cry. Don’t take it personally, she is as fanatical as you, if not more so. She would agree you don’t have to attend to be a great supporter.
