  1. Ya Think?
  2. Meanwhile not having a big bodied backup ruckman for Max this season and looking for another skinny 18 year old ruckman in the draft, who will take another 3 years to develop. I am sure we would all rest a lot easier, having say a 24 year old, 204cm and 102 kg Brynn Teakle, on our list for 1-2 years, playing at Casey, just in case. We are now 2 players down on the list for the year, or at least until mid season draft, which operates in same order at that time, as National draft does later. Not sure if any other club is in that position. If we had a pick now, we could take anyone we wanted who was available. Anyway it's not happening, so we move on.
  3. Gee that is some rough love making. At my age i don't think I am up for that.
  4. What, you are not allowed to kiss your wife at her mother's place? New AFL rule?
  5. It has been stated in numerous articles that the AFL medically retired Gus. I can't find the ones with the exact words "medically retired by the AFL" but have read them in a few articles and here are a few more. Jon Ralph @RalphyHeraldSun Clubs are already wanting clarity on salary cap protection for players who are medically retired by the AFL. Brayshaw case will be something of a precedent. Brayshaw was medically retired from the AFL on Thursday, effective immediately, as a result of repeated concussions that could compromise the health of his brain later in life. Combined with extensive neurological testing and discussion with medical experts, a "devastated" Brayshaw has been medically retired from the game. 7NEWS Melbourne @7NewsMelbourne Melbourne star Angus Brayshaw has told fans he's been left shattered after he was forced to "medically retire" because of concussion. He told teammates he was shocked and shattered to be medically retired from playing as he described his ordeal this summer in a letter to Demons members. The AFL is expected to have discussions with Melbourne about the salary cap implications of Angus Brayshaw’s retirement given he has five more seasons left on his contract. The league medically retired Brayshaw and while the Demons spent Thursday farewelling their premiership star, his position will clearly set a precedent for all clubs.
  6. Haven't seen any references to us training the house down lately. Just as well.
  7. Can't see that happening, when the AFL ended his footy career themselves.
  8. We still have an arm and a leg.
  9. It has started already. The Magpie media machine is in full force, calling out online comments about Maynard. Maynard once again will become the victim.
  10. Do we deserve one for Gus, given the AFL medically retired him, 3 days after the Supp pick time ended? A pick 3 Premiership player, who has finished top 5 in the B& F last 2 years.
  11. “Accepting” I think you meant.
  12. Richo said we won’t be asking the AFL for a pick now. Apparently content with our position of 2 players down.
  13. Good luck. Think he just signed a new contract late last year. He is supposed to be great mates with Howes. Maybe the go home factor can arise.
  14. Pretty different acts to me. One was a king hit behind play, the other was a bump to the head sort of in play. One was a criminal assault and the other a bit of rough/dirty play. Collingwood lost John Greening to a king hit years ago by Saint Jim O’Dea. Greening could have been anything, he was brilliant.
  15. Hope the Logan money stops offers for JVR.
  16. I would like Marshall.

Hope you are ok WCW. Come back soon, with your effervescent optimism for the Dees.
  18. Labi Siffre a favourite of mine. It must be love.
  19. It does feel like there is an agenda.
  20. Trying to take my mind off all things Dees, I just bought the magic, bread fresh container from Global Direct. I am looking forward to eating bread that is not covered in mould.
  21. I think that will ultimately be the scenario, as Verrall looks to be really improving. KFW is still a chance in the next few years, if he can put on some muscle. Pity he isn't a bit taller, but then again he is the same height as LJ and was very highly regarded by the SA state coach.
  22. Another quiet week for the Dees.
