    Good points.

I recall a game some years ago, against the Eagles in Perth, where with a minute to go to half time the frees were 15 to Eagles and none to us. We were playing well and every time we looked like scoring, another Eagles free to stop us. Just before the half time siren went, we got our only free for the half, in the back pocket. It didn’t improve much after half time and we lost, but not heavily and Dees fans were filthy. I think one commentator said oh Eagles are getting a good run and that was it. Umpires do affect games occasionally and that, while difficult to stop, is a pity. I have never seen a more one sided umpiring display since, thank heavens.

If we can win one of the next two, we will have a home final against the Pies without Nick and a double chance. That’s probably our best result at this stage.
  4. Could lose next 2 as well and probably need Suns to beat Roos in last.

    Sunday to Sunday 7 days.
  6. Tommo was very good today again at Casey and you could be right about Petty.

I am not saying he isn’t, but just commenting on your view that he will definitely play seniors next year. Today he was slaughtered. I am sure he will improve, but I have seen nothing yet to suggest he will definitely play seniors next year. What do you think is the reason for the horrible ball use of both Demon teams this weekend.
  8. I would estimate between them Dunstan and Harmes turned it over about 20 times.
  9. Exactly. Our whole club is riddled with poor disposal. 17-5 inside F50 our way in last quarter and we kick one goal. 5-6 absolute sitters missed. Missed passes the whole game and relentless bombing.

Absolutely slaughtered today by Hudson O’Keefe.

    I haven’t seen that.
  12. Ball handling sh-thouse.
  13. Port game too. When you are poor at ball handling wet conditions can exacerbate it.
  14. You can see why we lost in one passage of play. The Docherty goal came from 4 Dees fumbling the ball and he picks it up and kicks the goal. We fumbled and mis kicked and mis handballed and dropped marks all night.
  15. We lost because of one thing, garbage ball handling and disposal. If we don’t bring in more ball skill we will suffer.
  16. Our ball handling lost that game for us and that is why I want to get more skilled young talent on the list. How many times did we fumble, handball to them and kick to them. Our disposal skill is just not good enough.
  17. Spot on.

I don’t know. We have problems with our key forwards now and I am unsure of what the makeup will be for the remaining games.

Stephenson and Thomas are half hearted in the contest.

I am not arguing, I am just saying if he wants to leave we won’t force him to stay.
  21. That’s ok, but how are the teams that never play at those grounds sacrificing on field for the greater good?

    Ask him.

If Grundy asks to leave and we can do a good deal, we will accomodate him. That’s how we operate.
  24. So we can expect Kardinia Park and Tassie games to continue despite numbers dictating they shouldn’t.
  25. More deep forward to bring the ball to ground if unable to mark. I see Grundy doing the heavy work.
