  1. In my opinion Dan Andrews should be the Chairman of the AFL, they fit together like hand and glove.
  2. Redleg replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
    Yes.
  3. That’s what I was thinking.

Bailey Smith is a Cotton On boy and we know who they are connected with.
  5. I find myself conflicted. It seems we might have had a deal available with WC to get 1. If JT was set on Reid I trust him. Personally I would be happy with 4 and maybe trading for Suns’ 5 and then go to the draft with an enormous hand, to bring in several really talented players.

Actually knock them into the week after.

Why Suns, if Roos win we could possibly do a deal with WC for 1? It won’t happen of course.

Hardtack sorry to hear about your health situation and wish you all the best and as with GNF and presumably others not travelling well atm, I hope the Dees can win it for all of us and especially, give you some pleasure.

That’s a poor excuse for not manning up.

Only one problem with that is that he is West Australian.

    Suns and Dogs look certainties.

I would try and get Brayden George from Roos.

North half backline has 3 players around 183cms with Sheezel named at CHB. Roos have Reid in the bag.

Which club does his brother work at?
  15. Redleg replied to Ouch!'s post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Grundy will go and we will pay nothing of his ongoing salary.

Mrs. Redleg has often told me not to write thoughts, but to actually say them, as there is less room for misunderstanding or misinterpretation. As you say, back to rumours. We have so far had posters saying Grundy is going to the Swans in a 3 club deal, back home to Port and now it’s being reported he has just bought a house in Melbourne. Wonder if the house has a farm attached.

Yes we appeared to be at cross purposes over our posts and I agree with you that the AFL wouldn’t be concerned with which players are actually picked by clubs. As to the remarks you saw as condescending, they weren’t intended that way, but I take your point and will do better.

I think North will get end of first round compo for McKay and at the very best, maybe a pick before team finishing 8th. I think other clubs would be angry with even that. McKay is not Frawley and we had a worse list than North.
  19. Redleg replied to Random Task's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
You don’t see why the AFL would be concerned about giving North, 3 number 1 picks in a row and adding to that, an inflated compo pick for an ordinary footballer in McKay, which would rob the worst performing team of the year, of the player it would take with pick 2, which it currently holds. Well the rest of the AFL competition do and I don’t think I can assist anymore with helping you understand that.

We bomb whoever is in the forward line.

Would be hilarious if the Suns rest several more players like Geelong and a young North side want to win, despite who they have on the field. Despite resting players and switching them around, what else can Clarko do to ensure a loss. If a miracle happened and WC get 1, the only way for us to get Reid, is for Curtin to absolutely convince North and Hawks he will go home in 2 years. For one of them to take him in those circumstances, would be extremely foolish. Another JHF situation, which would heave the fans furious. I think this Reid situation is just too difficult to happen for us.
  22. He has obviously got a lot of pleasure out of dumping garbage on us.
  23. Redleg replied to Random Task's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
They won’t get assistance, but neither will North, that robs them of their desired player Curtin.

GNF that is very sad news you have passed on about your health. I wish you and I am sure the whole of DL also joins me in wishing you all the best. I hope you receive more joy from the Dees and that you are with us for much longer than you or your Doctors think. I have enjoyed your posts and rumours of course don’t always come true. I have always looked forward to reading footy rumours and taken them with a grain of salt. All the best mate, thinking of you.

He is actually an ordinary player and often injured.
