What he has done is achieve a coaching record of 17-52. Rebuild or not, that is pathetic. And for some reason the club and supporters have been lulled into believing that a rebuild makes losses and floggings acceptable! They aren't! Bailey has flown under the rebuild radar for far too long. A change is needed. Priority 1 - Malthouse Priority 2 - Roos The club administration has moved mountains over the past few years to right the ship and has allowed for a stable environment for the FD in which to operate and do their job. The numbers don't lie.

It's pretty bizarre isn't it. So as opposed to "basics" what were the expectations of the players before the game?

The most damning thing is seeing two clubs that finished below us last year rejig their games styles, and make rapid improvement (West Coast and Essendon). Half time stat of 13 - 0 tackles inside 50 is laughable in football today.............Aaron Davey would get at least 1 a quarter when Daniher was coaching!!!!!!!!

We are a very dishonest team at the minute........players great at running forward and happy to do the flashy things, but not enough doing the fundamentals and hard things well enough!

A game plan that revolves around us building from the back half puts us on the defensive from the start! How can a team like West Coast develop effective forward pressure in the off season, and we still have no idea about forward pressure???????? Nothing short of pathetic so far....... only bright light is Watts looking better.

They did mention they adding additional channels to be able to run the required matches live. I'm just glad I don't have to watch channel 7 for footy anymore from 2012.......they suck in my book!

Loving the 9 games live on Foxtel! No more crap like the Suns game having to watch a delayed coverage on channel 7! And the return of a Fox Footy channel will be great.

That's true, and I'm not advocating he gets the bullet on the numbers alone, just making the point that other clubs have seen fit terminate coaches with superior records to Bailey. A near full strength list, the right facilities, a hand picked coaching staff, a young team on the up......Bails is in trouble unless we improve!

I couldn't agree more! With what they have done and achieved since taking control of the club, I don't think this administration will have any problem making the call they believe serves the best interests of club. I'm sure they will make the tough call if they need to.

I think other clubs would be more than busy enough running their own operations than to be sitting around and strategising the downfall of a club that has been in the wilderness for the better part of 45 years! Get a hold of yourselves please! Look at how decisive the club has become since the new regime has taken over..........they have systematically set about rebuilding every aspect of the club, and ensuring no weak link exists in the drive for success. The way I see it, this review has taken place now, because one of the most important roles at the club, the coach, comes out of contract at the end of the year. They can also see the landscape ahead, with other clubs (Carlton etc) also in a similar position. As the article relating to the review said, the project is an attempt to look into the future and with more insight make important strategic and commercial decisions that could last for four or five years. Coaching, recruiting, sports science and welfare were all examined, as were practices at other clubs and in other sports. If as Schwab says, we are at Base Camp, then we sure as hell better make sure we are taking the right Sherpa! Bailey should be concerned...............rebuild or not, a win / loss record of 16 and 51 is pathetic........even Knights who went down a similar youth policy (though not quite to the same extent) was 25-39 with the Bombers, and he was booted. I like Bailey, and hope he is the man, but if the club believe a better coach is needed to take the next step, then so be it!
