Good call.........like all recruiters, Craig Cameron has had hits and misses, but overall I think he did a great job with the MFC, and left our list in a better place than what found it. We can't ask for much more than that!

I make it a habit never to park at the G........the delay getting out is the main reason why. The carpark behind the tennis centre is the best, but fills early so need to be there at least 45 mins before the game, and failing that, the Fed Square car park!

Fitness and conditioning team deserve massive kudos for the teams fitness.......during the commentary Tony Shaw made note of how hard the team worked running back into the Lions 50 to set up the defensive zone, and made note of the "gut running" required to do that. Our ability to run out games is a huge advantage!

I wouldn't say I disliked Fev........he's a great player to watch when he is on song. His problem is he's just a meathead!

I think Tony Shaw had covered the commentary box with his own DNA he was that excited! Talk about pumping us up! He's given it to us when we were down, so at least he is squaring up now we are on the up.

Agreed.........and love the way at still just 21 he takes no crap from opposition players........awesome player, and a massive part of our future!

So what are you after, a winning culture built on an easy run? You don't go out and play spuds in finals, so wishing for gun players to miss games is a bit of a losers approach isn't it? You have to beat the best to be the best.......reality!

That's true if it was a final, but you don't learn to be the best if you don't play on the best! I'd rather he played, and the backline learn how to deal with 2 power forwards..........priceless experience!

He won't come back to Melb, and to be honest, we shouldn't take him back! Why would we? We have loaded up on players who can use the footy in the previous drafts.......Thompson's disposal is nothing special...and he is no harder at it than Jones or Moloney. With McKenzie coming through, and players like Blease, Strauss, and Gysberts who we have hardly seen, rounded out by Scully, Trengove, Bail, Grimes etc etc...we don't need him! Our midfield stocks aren't our problem. He's had his chance to play with us, and he chose to leave........you don't get a second chance. If he comes back to Melbourne, he'll end up at a Collingwood or Carlton.....not with us....and good luck to him. I don't want him back in the red and blue.

I was thinking exactly the same thing over the last few games.........and not just his disposal, his game all round! Moloney and Jones look like they have both improved their skills this year, and that's a big credit to them.

Wow..........I'm amazed that the person who wrote this article was in charge of an AFL club only a few years ago! You're out of touch Sheeds.........GWS have erred badly in making you their inaugural coach! You shouldn't be left alone with sharp objects, much less an AFL team these days!

Col was solid, but that was probably the easiest 5 goal haul you will ever see in footy! If he can do it this week, that's a different story! It's great to see him back playing good footy though!

It's been a lean few years........let's enjoy the couple of good wins we've had! This week will be good to see where we are at against a team in good form. Let's stay optimistic, as we aren't going to win a flag this year, and the future does look bright. These young guys doing a lot of grunt work the minute like Scully, McKenzie, Trengrove, Grimes, etc will tire as the year goes on. Don't start raising expectations at this stage..........we beat an insipid Adelaide at our home.......Carlton thrashed them at home, and we've just beaten a team that will struggle to win a game all year. This week will be a great learning experience for the team, and the youngsters........but lets not get too hung up on this one game as the defining match........we still have a long way to go!

When he was running around for us the last few years, it was so noticable how slow he was compared to other players. He's an old style in and under footballer, but if you can't run in the game these days, you won't last.

If it had have been Sylvia or Moloney or Jones, I would feel the same, but we lose little with Brock gone. The pace of the game increases every season.......he won't be able to keep up much longer.

Like Judd, Warnock, and Johnson..........Brock chose Carlton over the MFC...........as stated earlier, he is now fair game! We've lost nothing from a playing perspective with Brock leaving the club. I'll be booing him when we play Carlton though as it just seems like the right thing to do.......as a number 5 draft pick, he can't expect to leave and not be given grief about it!

Tomorrow is going to be painful.....very very painful. And I am normally bullish about every game we play, but not this time. Our forwardline quite simply sucks, we were pititul last week, and are playing Collingwood who played some of the best football you are ever likely to see in the first half against the Bulldogs last week. We've shown nothing all preseason, have 4 of our top players out, and after 2 years still have no idea how to carry out Bailey's game plan. It's a 100 point loss coming up!
