  1. Just considering some of the players still to come into the team. Liam Jurrah Jared Rivers Cale Morton Jack Watts James Strauss Austin Wonaemirri Sam Blease Neville Jetta Given our current form, who would these guys replace?
  2. As good a compliment we could never hope for!
  3. Don't mind Fev when he's playing against any other side. I ALWAYS hate Milne! HE yaps like a small dog all day every day and then cries when someone yaps back, be a man you poor excuse for an oxygen thief! Complete pustule of a human being. I can't believe Malthouse was fined for telling him the truth either!!
  4. Jennings looked like a blonde Screech!!! There should also be an enquiry into Hayden Kennedy's "preformance" last night.
  5. The Martin one was right in front of the boundary umpire! He's in big trouble for that one. You cannot be 10 mts from the play and make such poor decisions! Especially when you consider Goods was 2mts behind Stef. Boundary will spend a long time at VFL.
  6. 6. Moloney 5. Jones 4. Frawley 3. Trengove 2. Scully 1. Bate Honorable Metions to Sylvia, McKenzie, Warnock, Grimes, Petterd, McDonald, MacDonald & Jamar Tough week to give votes with everyone playing thier role extremely well.
  7. I saw it too - Ironic that McGrath squibbed a contest in the last quarter. People in glass houses...
  8. Happy Birthday Jimma! Your pressie is at the G tonight! You can't unwrap it, but here's hoping we can unleash it!!!
  9. I've consistantly held a grudge against Bartram for the past three odd years. I've always believed we'd NEVER win a premiership with him in the team. He certainly has turned a corner in the past few weeks however, he will need to play like this consistently before I change my mind. I'd be happy to admit I was wrong, but I don't feel the evidence against me is that strong at the moment. Dunn - meh, he's still an average player for mine. Personally I'd drop him once Watts, Wona, Morton or Jurrah were ready. He's just not in our best 26 players.
  10. 6. Jr Mac 5. Moloney 4. Sylvia 3. Jamar 2. Petterd 1. Warnock
  11. Now there's over 1900 members - growing legs
  12. Replay tomorrow on Austar at 8am Fox Sports 3
  13. Bate still looks like he is not upto speed with the game. He was slow today and he was made to look sercond rate on several occasions, he needs to go back to Casey and regain his fitness and confidence. Bruce is a tough one, he is one of the most frustrating players in our team. He is a good solid player who is capable of more. I also question his commitment and hardness. Something needs to be said or done, I just don't know what. I thought Juice put in a good game for the first three quarters. He provided a good physical presence and more energy than I have seen out of Miller of late. His stamina let him down in the last, it also looked as though he was hampered by injury, I'd keep him in. Next week, In Sylvia, Out Bate
  14. 6. Jamar 5. Frawley 4. Bennell 3. Grimes 2. Davey 1. Warnock
  15. See your point. I was referring to the distribution of the bye weeks. Fancy being the poor team that has a bye in Round 1 (pointless) and then next in round 12 and having to play first week of finals against a team who has just come off a bye?
  16. I've predicted this year to be a breakout year for Ricky. I believe 50-60 is possible for him anything above that will see the dees win alot more games than we'd hoped for, so I say 'Dare to dream'!!
  17. The new format for the NAB Cup is yet to be determined. It may not be a knockout competition, but as the NAB has a contract for the pre-season cup next year, the AFL will honour it. As I said before, all I have thus far are the broader details. As more details come to hand I will post them up here.
  18. Unless each team plays each other once only or twice only the draw is always compromised. If you're a team who is competing for the top 6-8 and you have to play the top 5 teams twice in one season, it can affect your final result, especially if your competition for that spot has played the bottom 5 twice.
  19. Finer details are yet to be decided on the format of the NAB Cup. This isn't common knowledge yet TU, but comes from the rumour mill within AFL house.
  20. Interesting to hear the AFL have decided on some of the broader details of next years season fixture. NAB Cup will be played 24 Rounds in the regular season, plus finals State of Origin Each team will have 2 rest weeks during the year. Love to hear thoughts on this format as I think it would further compromise the integrity of the draw, if it has any to start with.
  21. Hawthorn are a pack of thugs and the AFL are fully aware of it. Nothing gave me more satisfaction than watching that sniper Osbourne, yet again try and take a player down behind the play and cop one in the aggotts for his efforts. Scarlett should be rewarded, not reprimanded.
  22. I think it's fair to expect that what was displayed on Saturday is the expectation. Nothing less. We know what we are capable of, we need to keep showing signs of improvement along with the desire we had on Saturday. It's fair to expect that if we do that, we can expect a few wins along the way, including a couple of surprises. No exceptions!
  23. I thought Bennell worked his guts out for us yesterday. He provided us with great pace and energy up forward. From memory, there was one contest he shirked. He'll learn from that. The kids played less than 20 games of footy ffs! When your mentor for the past 2 years has been Cam Bruce, it's a wonder he didn't shirk more!! If you want to point the finger for yesterday's loss (and I really don't), don't start with any of the kids, they all played thier guts out for the red & blue yesterday and I'm proud of every one of them.
  24. Didn't even notice him today. If you compare how much you saw him today opposed to how often we had the ball to Miller's 2 goals from 2 kicks last week and the choice is clear for me. Even if you hat eMiller, drop Juice and play Watts.
