Demonland Player of the Year - Round 15
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
6 Jamar 5 Viney 4 Howe 3 Jetta 2 Grimes 1 Vince Can't believe that several of you have not given Viney a mention. Completely blanketed the most dangerous player in libba, a sensational effort -
Players to target at the end of the year
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to JackVineyForPresident's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'd be real surprised if Roosy is not in the face of a few Swans players to get the to the Dees. Between him n Stone I'm sure there will be the odd coffee or phone call here n there. I'm not sure of Luke Parkers contract situation but geez id love him at the Dees! -
Training - Wednesday 21st May 2014

I drove past about 945 and they looked like they were just setting up. -
Agree with most of this but not Watts, who clearly plays his best footy forward. I'd say Jet would be perfect for Wingard, just not sure who comes out, maybe Salem or JKH although neither deserve to be dropped!
-
Pedo would go close to most improved in the comp at the moment let alone our team. Some of his grabs and tackles yesterday were at critical times and were inspirational. He plays with confidence now , something he was devoid of last year! Well done Pedo.

Stats that matter! 21 scoring shots from 41 entries 14 ctr clearances to 5 On top of that our intensity at the ball was almost finals like, just beautiful to watch!

Lump in the throat watching the belt the song out. Sensational effort for almost 4 quarters fellas, the benchmark is set. There could be many more wins coming our way this year! Hooohaarrr!!

If we can learn to play at that intensity for 4 qtrs we will trouble a lot if teams this year!

I had the privilege of a few training sessions with the Bloods when Tommy was coach. Whilst I never made it, I'll never forget Tommy introducing me to the players in the middle of the SCG and made me feel like one of the boys, even if I was nowhere near it! RIP Tommy, a true legend of our game.

You have to remind yourself he has played just 21 games of footy... Will be an elite player of the comp within 12 months! -

Yeah we coulda won, probably shoulda! But how far have we come in a very short time and how good is it to be entertained by our team for the first time in years. I hope That [censored] Barrett was watching Tyson closely tonight. 21 games of footy and fast approaching A grade material! Great stuff! -
Agree this is a big night for us. We've been crying out to be respected for years and a win tonight following on from our stance during the week and the win in Adelaide will see the beginnings of respectability coming back our way! Dogs only game at the G all year and I can't remember it being a very happy venue for them away from their pristine conditions at etihad! Weather could suit us I reckon! Can't wait to be there

It's time to stand in awe of young Jack!

That bit of play is one of the more inspirational acts I've seen from a Demon in 20 years. Up there with Nietz hip n shoulder on Mccabe and subsequent goal on the run! -
We are currently ranked 9th best defence in the comp which has Roos fingerprints all over it. Considering the dark depths we have come from this is super impressive. We are averaging roughly 10 goals less being scored against us per match! We've got a long way to but gee we are heading in the right direction!

At half time they showed footage of him pre match and he looked sore , maybe tightness in his hammy or possibly buttock, also went down to the rooms on his own before the match. We are lucky he saw the game out I reckon! -

Both Howe n Watts redeemed themselves without setting the world on fire! Whilst I would not have been surprised to see either dropped, it's great that Roosy had faith in both lads. Both were involved in pivotal moments I'm the match! JKH and Jet were outstanding, 2 guys I didn't expect to see in our best on. Sensational win boys! -

Chris Johnson just said on 3AW he would not expect to see JW til mid season after that effort and who could argue. He had become a liability and needs to get a little confidence at Casey. Was a pretty horrid game of footy but we are seeing some good signs, particularly our pressure at times. The big difference tonight was how clean Sydney are in pinpoint passing, whereas ours was pretty poor too often. Pederson was a massive eye opener for me. -
Scrappy affair but to keep Swans goalless is a great effort. Considering it was 13 zip in a heartbeat, this had been impressive thus far. Not without a chance here!
-
I'm at the game and watching him closely. He busts a gut this bloke, his improvement is unheralded I reckon!

Changes for Round 6 vs Sydney
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to titan_uranus's topic in Melbourne Demons
There are reports currently on Sydney radio that Franklin had been involved in another incident in his car! If true lets hope the Swans punish him and send him to the Magoos!
