I hear ya Gonz We've also got the best club culture Pertys ever been involved in, plus Goody promised we'd stop the talk and walk the walk on the footy field..... Why won't the media leave us alone we are in ripping knick.

Was about to ask who his manager is. Same mob as Trac and Clarry which is interesting indeed.

Angus Brayshaw Forced into Retirement
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Laurie was number 9 and I had his number on my jumper. I share the sentiments of many of you. My love of footy hasn't been the same since what happened to Gus. -
Tracs disillusionment with the club was on show before his injury. Our season was already shaky but our era ended against Freo in Alice. It wasn't just the lack of effort that stood out to me that day, it was the arguments and finger pointing amongst players. Trac was extremely vocal and yelling at the bench several times, something I've not seen from him before. Who could blame him, he appeared to be one of the only few players that GAF that day.

You do realise we are about 3rd best in terms of games missed by injury right? Yes we have had some injuries but nowhere near as bad as some will have you believe on here. We have had a terrible season no matter how you look at it, particularly when Goody himself said we will show the footy world where we are at with our actions on the field. Sorry to hijack the Non MFC thread but the injury excuse many on here use is not why we are bottom 6.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide

Love Roo but he had a shocker tonight. 8 disposals at 25% efficiency. But at least he has a crack. But I'd have subbed Clarry off tonight, lost the plot out there several times with Drew in his head all game -
17000 on a beautiful night

Can't fault their effort tonight, we had a crack all game. Had many chances to bury them but just butchered some gettable goals. We are hard to watch at the moment. Skills very ordinary at times. -
Could not get a better night for footy and the G is empty. So damn quiet here

Still on train. At one point I was outnumbered by Port fans. No other Dees in sight but a few more since Bentleigh. And I mean a few .... -
The battered sav! Gotta love fatso the fat arsed wombat. Some of the best TV of all time.

Correct. Maynard went at least a metre over the mark on the 50 in last qtr and then took another step forward before the L McDonald goal. Fly not bringing that one up I assume...

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
We have so rarely rewarded blokes who put in consistent efforts at Casey whilst underperforming regulars keep getting games in the seniors. And when they do get promoted they get dropped after 1 or 2 games. Any wonder they struggle with confidence. There has never been a better time to play these 2 in particular for the last 3 games. Season 2025 is the priority now, not winning 3 meaningless games. -

100% this. And I really don't care if we get flogged which we probably will. 2025 preparation starts now surely. -
POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Western Bulldogs

He hasn't been right all year after just one week off from broken ribs. I doubt it's a new injury but who knows. If they don't put him on ice for the season it's [censored] madness. Get Petty back for the rest of the year to get his confidence back and play Jeffo forward. We need to prepare for life without SMay probably in next 2 years. -
The Premiership Window Closing?
Hellaintabadplacetobe replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
BUMP Many of you picked it early but I thought at the start of the year if Clarry found his best form we could give it a shake again this year. I only picked it after the Freo loss which at the time I said was not only season defining but era defining. I wish I shared the optimism of some but I simply don't see us giving it a shake next year with our aging premiership legends fading before our eyes and too many teams miles ahead of us now. Will savour the flag but it's a massive disappointment not to see one in the flesh with the list we had in our hands. -

Disco sub again -
Well we are every chance of finishing 13th this year and get an easier draw in 2025. Current form of 4-7 and who we play I'd say it's more likely than not to happen.

I'd have been there but was in Lorne watching with a bottle of Pinot and a cheese board. Don't tell me I'm not hard core.😃
-
You could add Curnows touched goal by May with replay confirming it just as the ball was being bounced. Pretty sure our last 3 games against Blues we've been dudded by goal reviews Anyway probably lost in the injury thread lol

It really is heart warming and heart breaking. Love the man He is actually at many home games and every now and then they show him on the big screen.
-
And Danger got off only weeks ago for the same tackle

Judd McVee could possibly be the most underrated player in the comp. Composure of the kid is unbelievable.
-
That pass was on his left foot. Up there with one of the best kicks I've seen all year.
