  1. Seems we haven't changed. This is classic Melbourne of the past 2-3 years losing games we are expected to win . 1.12 in the second half is diabolical. Any finals hope has now all but gone. I'm not even upset or surprised.
  2. Didn't see the game but 8 marks for JVR is a very good sign. Hopefully he is building some confidence. Would love to see more stats like this from Culley next few weeks.
  3. There was so much to like but what impressed me most was our forward pressure in the last quarter when the game was done and dusted. Boys were hungry today it was awesome to see.
  4. Agree and I was right in amongst where the majority of our fans were in Olympic Stand. At least 60% Hawks in the crowd I reckon
  5. I think we win the game if those 3 played. Dominated 3 quarters in every department bar the scoreboard due to horrendous goalkicking and some staggering ineptiude from umpires. The Kozzy trip non decision is hard to believe 4 umpires can miss that but just as bad the free against Fritta for pushing CJ when he was clearly pushed into him by Sicily which gets you a suspension if someone gets hurt. The 4th quarter was just so predictable.
  6. Such a devastating loss for the family. I have a boy similar age and I'm not sure I would cope for the rest of my life dealing with such pain. Absolutely love that the club continues to support this family, it actually makes me tear up.
  7. It was his second game back from a 4 week injury. He was close to BOG in his 2 games prior to injury and probably ranked 3 or 4th best ruckman at the time. With Darcy back out with injury he will be primarily rucking and will start dominating games again. I'd take him back with open arms if we can pull it off
  8. Frittas 2.2 might save him but for a bloke dropped, showing absolutely zero in the VFL to warrant a return other than Melksham injury it was a really poor night from him. Zero tackles while the rest of the forwardline are breaking records in F50 tackles. Maybe it's not expected of him, but his lack of intent and pressure is really disappointing.
  9. No all good for me earlier today
  10. Watched him closely at the ground. It won't get picked up on tv but especially when we don't have the ball, the focus and enthusiasm he shows setting up zones and directing others is fantastic to see.
  11. He's a classic winger and I hope when Mcvee returns we play him there. Then rotate the other wing with Langdon and X somehow
  12. Watch the replay David. Spargo was no passenger. Best game he's played in some time.
  13. Agree. We will be better off with May as a target to kick to from those kick outs.
  14. Rapt with not only a 4 quarter effort but the way we responded multiple times when they came at us. Was a great atmosphere at the G. Great game of footy
  15. No backline, no forwardline. Underperforming mids. Brace yourselves. I will be there though, supporting the guys who have a crack
  16. I sure hope not. With no Lever and likely no May this is not the game to muck around with our key backs. Treacy is probably the form key forward in the comp. They have a very good forward line
  17. My understanding is that the club reached out to family quite some time ago but they were not open to any discussions. Can't remember where I heard this but it sounds plausible
  18. Maybe we need more of these......
  19. Good post. Yes it's time for Goody to go but we need a complete shake up not just a new coach. I was dead against losing Trac or Clarry but something tells me both need to go. And whoever else is responsible for overseeing the mess we are in without taking action needs to go with them. Problem is I don't think Brad Green or whoever else is steering this ship has the cahunas to make the changes required.
  20. Bing.. we've been going backwards for 3 years. Your support for your club is unwavering but your love is just so blind
  21. I suspect the club is so rudderless it has nobody capable to call it. We have zero leadership on and even less off the field. It needs to be done now but I would think after losses to Freo and The Tiges at the G, someone has to stand up and make the call.
  22. You mean like K Brown.....
  23. Been saying it since round 1 doc. Seems only Simon knows. The players either don't understand it, can't execute it or are not playing for the coach. It is likely all 3 of those reasons. Very sad situation we find ourselves in, what a disaster it's been since the flag.
  24. Max Holmes comments says it all and he's not wrong. " They don't really know what they're doing". I agree Max
  25. I read the frustration as him not wanting to play forward and spend more time in midfield. Jordan Lewis comments on Monday seem to be pointing to Trac I am almost certain you are right about him requesting a trade though.
