Hard to disagree. Bizarrely, whilst we finally kicked straighter than our opponent, we lost nearly every other key stat against the worst team in the comp. Maybe they're not the worst anymore. Agree 100%. I can't remember a player so down on confidence and in horrendous form. He's been a liability for a month. Put him back and Tomlinson as a defensive forward. He could not possibly be as bad as Petty forward even if he doesn't kick a goal.

I've lost all trust in the playing group and the coaching staff and hierarchy. We were told pre season our actions on the field will be our response to an off season from hell. Something deeply amiss behind the scenes. We won't be moving forward anytime soon until whatever it is that's festering away behind the scenes is resolved. I'm not expecting finals this year after our last month. Happy to get games into kids but not all at once.

Oliver is the key. If he doesn't regain his best form we are absolutely zero chance even if we manage to sort our forwardline out. And even if Oliver regains his best form we are still no certainty to be challengers now that Trac is out indefinitely.

There is talk about Maynard having some ongoing personal off field issues. I wasn't aware of them but Fly mentioned it after the game. I would be pretty sure guys like Trac are probably well across this news so maybe not staged at all.

I suspect he is well and truly gone. We will get far less for him next year and it will bite us in the arz. I was at a function in 2022 with several Dees in attendance. Trac was asked who is ready to explode in the scene and Petty was his response. He's basically been injured ever since. If he ever gets his body right he will be a very good player but it's a big if when perennially injured.
