NON-MFC: Round 11, 2022
Interestingly the umpire told everyone to cool it while he listened to instructions on his ear piece. This in itself brings out the conspiracy alarmist in me. i.e. "Free kick Bulldogs" just after they have had 3 throws from packs. I dont believe there is a valid reason why umpires need to have an earpiece. At all. Who is on the other end?

Taylor Walker
Could easily be Pies or Tiges as well. They think they are close.

Angus Brayshaw
Looks like some people arent watching the Grand Final often enough. Gus was enourmous.

Blues the Dee-stroyers?
At our first loss, the winning team will be hailed as a hero. Meanwhile I load up as Dees odds for the flag briefly go out to $3-1

Lumumba sues AFL and Filth
I met Bucks very early in his career at CFC where I happened to have lunch irregularly. He was humble, inquisitive and had a genuine interest in what someone who didnt barrack for CFC thought of the place, what their impression was of CFC in general. I was happy to chat. I dont have a strong dislike of the Pies at all, although Id run from fights on the odd occasion after a Dees win at Vic Park and Id witnessed the spitting on players coming out of the runway. Anyway I have a respect for the guy since then. I have observed Eddie in the old days at the Chevron and I had also witnessed how Heretier carried on one match day while being a guest in the Lindsay Hassett room. And with having said that Ill take the advice of my grade 2 teacher, Miss Green (Michael Greens sister) 'If you cant say something nice about a person, dont say anything at all'. At all.

Why Petracca, Oliver & Gawn could be best Demons yet
Robbie made the game look like a dance. He looked like he was just stepping through it.Thats the difference.

Membership Tally 2022
Excuse my ignorance, how can we see other clubs up to date figures of their memberships?

Will Max Gawn ever be recognised as the best player in the league?
Yesterday while still recovering from the dreaded Lurgy, I watched the game on Kayo. This is the 1st time I have heard all the commentators (barracking for the hawks, of course) say "Why would you even kick it to the same side of the ground as Gawn"? They all seriously agreed that the game plan should be "keep it away from Gawn". They werent kidding. I think Id heard something like this once before in regard to Anthony Koutoufedis. But that was long ago. Pretty high praise!

TEAMS: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
At some point we need to say that Weed played a good game, or at least better than TMac. I havent seen it and hope I will accept the shock of the new when I see it and then I will believe it. I am biased. i honestly believe Weed will let us down big time in a game soon, either by not committing or by missing a crucial shot. Tmac thrives under pressure still, and has won us games in the past off his boot. I realise his halcyon days are behind but is Weed better yet, this year, when we need to be putting up our best team to win this years flag? I dont think so.

NUMBER 27
Im surprised that Harmes hasnt been in the spotlight. Very tough but always misses a shot without looking for options, and not as thoughtful about his disposal as say, Nibbler. I wonder if Sparrow could take his spot allowing Dunstan a berth? Nothing against Harmesy but a lot of riches.

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
Id rather watch Hawkins remove his mouthguard after being awarded a free kick in front of goal. Well nearly

2022 Match Review Panel
Ryder had a Hawks player run in his path as he was trying to apply pressure to Will Day. After that he only less than a second with Day running at him. He turned his body and bumped but without force. Day has some responsibility to gird himself as well. I cant see him being able to smother in this case. 2 weeks is too much.

Any one know if car park is open?

TEAMS: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Weid's one standout game against the Cats is really paying dividends.

Alex Neal-Bullen
I think he is quick as most, but his trick is taking posession then stopping on a dime, swivelling and summing up his options quickly. His decisions are normally pretty good now, but its his quick stop and evasion which buys him time. He and Ed langdon are favorites because I think they're both reasonably humble.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Just from the interview, my take was that he is quite happy at melbourne and that he is seriously considering going back west. We certainly have work to do.
