I guess I just dont see what others do in the Weid and accept it must be me. OK. I cant believe we have not yet allowed BBB a bit of a paddock and told everyone to get out of the square as we brought in an expert. Thats my flawed view.. Instead we have the Weid who "looks" dangerous. I got it wrong with Kozzie thinking he wouldnt work so ok maybe the Weid is the key. I just hope we are not going to bomb the goal square which I see creeping in. Helps no-one.
I expect Chandler to be given 3 or even 4 games. It seems consistent with Goodys changes. The only difference was when Mitch Brown came and went and Id say that Mitch was well aware of his backup position. Id also think that Majak would be under no illusions if he got gifted a game. Different for youngsters and seasoned veterans.
It has been a standard that when picked in the ones you get 3-4 weeks in. Melk couldnt hold his spot but had 4 chances. Weid has now a few chances to show he can hold his spot. But the axe is kept sharp after 4 weeks.
From Michael Gleeson reporting in the Age "From the nine minute mark of the second quarter until the 18th minute mark of the last quarter the Bulldogs recorded 16 centre clearances in a row. The Blues did not once clear the ball from the centre through that long middle stage of the game."
Pittonet does not have many fans although Cripps lack of agility is the main worry. Id back Daws and our mids against Blues for Center Square clearances.
I would like to see Gawn rested this week against Carlton. Bring in Majak for this game.We dont have any other players pressing for a rest (maybe Fritta) and Carlton have no decent rucks anyway. We have in the past allowed Max to cop lots of knocks and bumps in many games and I was quite impressed with Majak in the VFL. Its a very good time to do it as it is a major change when we dont have to make other adjustments. Max looks like he could do with putting his feet up for an extra week.
I think Goodwin will give those he brings in, a few weeks. This is Melkshams 3rd. When Chandler or Bedford come in they know that they can settle a little and wont be out the next week. Mitch Brown just had too much against him, so he had to go.

I try to enjoy the Coodabeens Saturday morning. I like to think ive got a fairly thick skin but every reference - even the ok ones- to us includes "well done number 9" and they always crack up as if it is as fresh as ever. Been hearing it for 30 years now I reckon. I now dont turn the other cheek but turn to Off the Record on 3RRR which is a great Sat morning show. So... skins not that thick.
