The club just has to find a way to string a few wins in a row and the back end, just so we dont go into Mad Monday with our heads hanging down, and take all that doubt into the next season. 2020 started a few weeks ago. FFS the whole idea of bringing in players after a long time out, with little to no match seasoning in the 2's is something we should have grown out of as a club a long time ago. Im really shitty at the club for our desperation selections this year. The season is over, so just pick players who have shown SOME sort of form before gambling with players returning from long lay-offs.

Because of a complete lack of awareness. He came back after a year out with practically no match conditioning, which would no doubt have seriously affected his feel for the game. To expect him to be switched on in the seniors in his return game defied common sense with the lack of prep he had. It was a desperate decision from a coach equally desperate for a win. It should not have happened.

Because he was absolutely horrible as a forward. Sending him to the backline was the only thing that stopped him from being delisted. On second thought, he would fit in perfectly with our current forwards

CFC have been licking their lips for weeks waiting for this game. They would not only have penciled in a win, but probably toyed with the idea of going over it with a biro*. (Yeah im old) A loss, or even a narrow win means not much to me tbh. We are actually that bad. With the 2 outs they have, we would need to win by our years combined score total for it to inspire confidence. Not gonna happen. MFC is broken. Humpy Dumpty broken.

No, this list wont be winning us a premiership, but the problem starts in the coaching box. Fix that first before even thinking about rebuilding the list. Roos was a leader of men and he gave us hope. Goodwin sprouts corporate BS after every loss ( "Connections" etc etc) and has lost all of the momentum we gained from the last couple of years of Roos' tenure. Get rid of him before the club is forced into yet another list rebuid. The boys might love him, but he is game day poison.

I would take either of the Scotts over the imbecile we have running the show atm He is not even close to being an AFL-standard coach. Probably in the change rooms right now handing out hugs and bum-pats. Whoever decided to extend him for 3 years can go as well. Yeah, im [censored].

One player mentioned from our list of 47 players. One. A player who needs to add more physicality to his game, and who no doubt has the tools. To somehow twist that into a plea to turn all 47 into inside mids is peak Demonland.

SPC posted in the post-match thread that he liked seeing the level of intensity CP5 brought to last rounds match. I agree 1 bajillion percent (i know thats not a thing) I will go one step further, like i have in the past already, and restate that i think he needs to pay "Angry" The day Christian FINALLY plays that way he will become the champ many supporters thought he could be. I dont mean angry like that headcase Robbie Muir, i mean angry like Mitch Robinson, or our own Jack Viney. I am not comparing skills here, just the desire and physicality levels. The day CP hits the field with the intention of not just impacting contests (given his physical attributes), but actually smashing bodies, we will be a very different onfield team. He is the one player in our team who has the tools at his disposal but has not used them (yet). Thoughts?

Yep, its going to be one of the construction compounds for the tunnel project. 5 years before it would be available at the earliest. Perfect size for a very large facility though. We could have an MCG sized oval and enough space for a building at least as big as Essendons home base, or bigger. Oh for a a few hundred million dollars and political backing hey? Still might whip something up in Photoshop when i am bored.

What land is available in Docklands? I was having a snoop around on Google Earth for another attempt at Photoshopping a new home base for us, but cant find any significant unused areas to use. Anyone else with knowledge of what might be available in that area of town?
