Agree they are employees of the club and I'd think at some point Worksafe (in the next 10 years... ) would have to have a look at the club if any of our players were issued notices and suspended. Then lawyers for those players would become involved and it could again set us back years.

Well now the NFL is over time to concentrate back on the hockey. Avs still hanging around and all but assured of a play off spot. How much damage they can do is a different story. Plenty of goals has been the theme of the season to date, plenty for and plenty against. While Varlamov looks like a top line met minder the rest of the D lets him get to many looks at a puck. We can score plenty on our night but look to still be a year or two from serious contention. Here is hoping the rest of the season is fun and we can maybe get close to a first round play off win that would show some real development.

Obviously haven't seem the end of the thread and missed the sad news. It is such a horrible disease and what it does to people and their families. Having recently seen someone else go through it and had major issues with health professionals I can understand Twos frustrations with the health systems and then the optimism and hope of the maybe they will get through. Macca just nervous, I know Peyton has had a good season but I just keep thinking the schedule was soft and the Hawks are number 1 on D. In saying that the Hawks schedule hasn't been that tough either but they beat the 9's (even if they were sore) who have a decent offense. CBH I think you may be correct, as I. The best running game will get over the top. The mode has been ok without being outstanding of late and the Moreno and co have been the same. If one of those can break out it will decide it... I think most players at MFC would have been earning at or above there maximum value from early dorrs, especially over the last 5 years. Paying players front loaded contracts and high value contracts just so we can pay the minimum of the salary cap.

I still think we need to be careful to over state what has transpired to date and any vast improvements, espcially in playing finals this year. I firmly believe this is step 1, step 2 is playing games this year and getting confidence up in mid year group of players and experience into the young players so they can develop further next year, step 3 is finding assistant/next coach and hopefully Roos staying on for year 3, step 4 is next trade/free agent period and being able to lure more quality experience whilst not letting any one of value go and step 5 is flag... easy really...

The Bulldogs debt is $10m, now that doesn't look healthy for a club that also spends the least on there core business, football.

Whilst I understand the tenants of your argument on Garls and match winner status (maybe you should look match saving ability too) the Gergiou reference is a stretch. Proven veteran player vs untried rookie... A step to far bud.
