It is really tough for the Western teams this year as they seem to be so much better than the majority of the Eastern teams. THis makes it tough for one of the top Western teams who will be eliminated int he first round but that's playoffs. The Avs best chance would be facing the Hawks I think, they have beaten them the last 2 or 3 times they have played and looked really good matching up against them. It has been a good year but I am really expecting things to progress over the next 1 to 2 years for the AVs where they will be able to sustain a full season and playoff run as they mature.

And again if I recall correctly AD and AFL house had raised concerns in the year prior to the story breaking of there concern about the sports scientists taking over from the Doctors at the club and they had major concerns.

Finally a number of the Bombers fans I know are now starting to turn on the Brand Hird regime and are looking for closure for the club and players rather than protecting the golden boy as they once did. I think they finally see it now... Some predicting if they lose tonight then the Board might just say enough is enough, you are to much of a distraction please go away. I just can't see it happening but then again it was reported the Bomber had asked Brand Hird, including the likes of Hanke, to cease commenting in public. Brand Hird said they would do no such thing.

Sorry Sass but do you mean any other descision but to sack Hird? I just can't see that, that would just make no sense to me as they have just had him discuss his return to the club on there website that they asked sign of for from AD. I just can't see them less than a week later sacking him, why would they go through all of that song and dance of supporting him to turn around so quickly to dump him?
