  1. Good get, binny! If that one is unavailable, maybe we could go with this one:
  2. One of the very few poor umpiring decisions I can recall from the game, which is a good sign. The other that sticks in my craw is Petty not being paid for that lingering high tackle that was inflicted on him.
  3. How many people today do you reckon would have the faintest clue what number Coleman wore? There have been eight players since him and before Weid to wear the number ten at Essendon. It's like saying that Brodie Grundy has done himself no favours by taking Fred Fanning's number six.
  4. Now that's drawing a long bow! Coleman last played about 70 years ago.
  5. Smith wasn't knocked out. If he had been, Kozzy would have been suspended for a LONG time.
  6. It was pleasing to see him have the nerve to gopher it.
  7. Say that again? Nah, Sam is the spitting image of his father, which is a tough break for both of them.
  8. Grundy only took one mark. *ducks for cover
  9. Apart from those two turnovers and others that didn't find a target? (watch the clip) Generally, his disposal was good but it wasn't perfect.
  10. Darcy is a father-son recruit. No foul play there.
  11. As much as I have no great desire to see Luke Jackson do well at his new club, I do think that a sample of one game is a little small and way too early to be celebrating his demise.
  12. The "New Coach Bounce" is a thing, apparently. All of GWS, North Melbourne, Essendon and (hopefully) St Kilda with a win in round one under a new coach.
  13. Sooking it up with the Tommo haters.
  14. Free kicks were 22 to us and 13 to them. Most of us would have predicted the opposite.
  15. I would have thought that Laurie would be more likely to be replaced in the team.
  16. joeboy - on the money
  17. We're on top of the ladder! Until the Swans/GCS game finishes, that is. Edit: GCS have come back a bit. We're still on top. Edit again: Bugger. Swans finish well enough to relegate us to second.
  18. A couple of observations from the couch: We look much better when Max holds his marks. (#Captain Obvious) Grundy needs to vary his tapouts in the centre rather than directing it behind him (ie towards the Dogs' goals) every time which the opposition are pouncing on. Pickett might not get suspended. It was shoulder to shoulder I think and Smith bouncing straight back up will be in Kozzy's favour. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if the Tribunal gave him life without parole. It's a typical Demons v Dogs game with momentum swings. Be nice to bury them in the 3rd quarter.
  19. This is an entertaining affair thus far, as compared to last night's slopfest.
  20. You're suggesting it might be a gluteus maximus injury?
  21. So neither team win. Gotta be happy with that.
  22. Geez, you know how to hold a grudge. Harrison House hasn't been League HQ for more than 50 years!
  23. New season, first game, same old colour-blind AFL officials. Richmond - yellow and black. Umpires .... yep, yellow and black. FFS!
  24. Thanks. I guess Jordon would be the favourite for the sub position.
