  1. Did you know that he's the uncle of our own Angus Bradshaw?
  2. In case anybody was still wondering, the answer is that all the players in my team had or have a brother who played or is still playing at VFL/AFL level. Congratulations to @WalkingCivilWar and @layzie for filling fifth and sixth place respectively. Happy Easter everybody. Forget Good Friday, I think Demon fans are in for a Very Good Sunday.
  3. Now that's a glimmer of a hint.
  4. It takes ten minutes to walk from Burswood to Empire Bar, but twenty minutes to walk back after 17 pints. The difference is staggering.
  5. There wasn't an AFL game on Good Friday at all until 2017. I agree that a night fixture would make more sense.
  6. From the WTAF files ...
  7. Funnily enough, two of the members of Dire Straits wouldn't be out of place in this team.
  8. What does the phrase oh brother mean? expression of frustration, disgust, disbelief used as an expression of frustration, disgust, disbelief, or incredulity.
  9. Oh brother. I thought the answer would have been made obvious by now.
  10. It's only round 4. Plenty to play out this season so let's not jump the gun re Jordon leaving. You'd have to have faith in our FD and also recognise we have more than 22 worthy senior players on the list.
  11. We thrashed Gold Coast by 98 points in August 2021. Remember that one? Viney got suspended.
  12. Will anybody else join the BBB (brotherhood of brainteaser boffins) aka the FFF (fraternity of foresightful fans) to earn themselves a virtual ovoid chocolate? As mentioned above, this is probably the easiest teaser I've ever posted. Have at it!
  13. Is that the one where participants shave off all their hair before competing?
  14. We can add @Little Goffy to the list of correct responses. No choccy eggs left, alas.
  15. And, just like that, third place of a bronze-wrapped egg is on its way to @Jumping Jack Clennett.
  16. It will come as no surprise that the silver-wrapped choccy egg has been snaffled by @Mazer Rackham.
  17. You'd probably love this yacht, @BDA.
  18. Told you it was easy. There is a gold-wrapped Easter egg on its way to @Bitter but optimistic.
  19. Sigh. Good Friday. Is there a more boring day on the calendar? You're probably just hanging around, maybe feeling cross. It's time to resurrect your spirits with another brainteaser. Can you nail it? Who will get the chocolates? I've made this one very simple as I have no wish to crucify you. You don't need to be an egghead to crack this one. Incidentally, I once tried breeding Easter bunnies and I have to say that the little eggs they lay don't taste anywhere near as chocolatey as they look. What do the players in the following team of Melbourne luminaries have in common? Answers in a PM only, please! B: Steven Febey Matthew Warnock Brad Campbell H/B: Troy Longmuir Nathan Carroll Jack Grimes C: Ed Langdon Angus Brayshaw Cale Morton H/F: Shane Braddy Ben Holland Aaron Davey F: James McDonald Allen Jakovich Shannon Motlop R: Glenn McLean Nathan Jones Paul Goss I/C: Ray Holden Anthony McDonald John Reid Stephen Wearne
  20. That's the customary method with joints.

  22. Sorry SWYL, but that's not the case. Foschini was aged just 17 in 1981 when he kicked three goals on his league debut for South Melbourne against Hawthorn and finished the season with 37 goals. The club relocated to Sydney the following year and Foschini, again playing as a forward, kicked 42 goals. Despite his success he was unhappy in Sydney and decided to return to his home state of Victoria in 1983, joining St Kilda. He however had not received a clearance to sign with St Kilda and as a result the issue went to court. In what was a high-profile case at the time, Foschini argued that the VFL's clearance rules breached restraint of trade laws. He won the case and was allowed to play for St Kilda, in doing so helping to abolish the zoning system from the league.
  23. No, it wasn't 'Hi Ho' - he changed clubs during the off season. It's bugging me now. I just looked up Russell Greene and Michael Byrne and it wasn't them either.
