  1. In a rare case of common sense, it looks like the AFL will return to Thursday night announcement of teams (story on their website) which I expect will be met with widespread approval among Demonland posters. They surveyed 13,313 fans and 94.5% voted for a return to a long-standing tradition in our game.
  2. I come from a long line of stage magicians and all the family members had a role to play in the performance. I have a half-sister.
  3. You've got to feel a bit sorry for the poor Doctor. With all this winning going on, the barrel has never been scraped harder in an effort to find some way to pot the mighty Demons.
  4. ??? He plays for Collingwood.
  5. I've just been into the city and you won't believe what's happening.
  6. Jacob? Justin played for St Kilda.
  7. Have you been drinking, dieter? EO clearly said that "It's not just or right..." but that it happens.
  8. I officially give up. It's a losing battle. Nuffies gonna nuff, I guess.
  9. Yeah, but what impact does that have on percentage?
  10. I thought the mods gave him the lemonade and sars a while back, describing it as a "delisting".
  11. Not necessarily, SWYL. For example, if we go into round 20 with a percentage of 150 and win 60 points to 40, our percentage would remain at 150%.
  12. There is a clip of the incident on afl.com.au.
  13. He trained with Casey a year or two back but didn't show enough to be kept on. Possibly a late bloomer.
  14. Anybody seen Dr. D?
  15. Never in doubt. Shame on all you sooks and bundle droppers.
  16. Petty was named as an emergency for this game, so it seems like he's ok to go.
  17. North have been starting games well and it's unsurprising they're giving us some cheek. However, there's only a goal in it and I'm confident we'll still win and win well. Shame about Thommo. Come on down, Harry Petty.
  18. Well, here we are on game day and, seeing as we're playing North Melbourne, this means that once again we will be doing battle with Kangaroos skipper Jack Ziebell. It is not widely known that Jack is one of the most careful, cautious people playing footy these days. No risks, no danger. He's the straight-and-narrowest player in the AFL. Here are some examples: Jack uses 3-ply toilet paper and double folds it. He bought a packet of sparklers for New Years Eve, but once he got started watching some fire safety videos on YouTube before lighting one, he couldn't resist watching more and more and more for about three hours and ended up going to bed at 11.15pm. He was so concerned about Covid-19 that, during lockdown, he attempted to submit a urine sample online. He initially bought all his teammates a box of Celebration chocolates each for Christmas, but felt guilty for assuming that everybody "celebrates" it and exchanged them all for boxes of Roses. He always votes below the line in the Senate because he doesn't want anybody to feel left out. He's already booked an Uber to the airport for the match against Adelaide in round 23. He refuses to go camping because he reckons it's dangerous after noticing that every time they show a murder on the news, the body is always in a tent.
  19. So it's Lever by a whisker, then.
  20. Just think of the possibilities if that dreaded merger with Hawthorn had actually happened. "Go Aitches!".
  21. I do love me a good oxymoron, Nasher. Getting off topic, but here's a few more for you.
  22. If it's the reality bus, count me in! I'll bring the learnings for us all to share on the way.
  23. That's a lot of celebratory beers.
