  1. I'm currently sporting a lovely upper lip at present! Feel free to look at my MoSpace and donate! http://mobro.co/clintsav/ Gippy
  2. Good luck trying to get Scully to play. He hasn't got a good track record with trips to China... Gippy
  3. What are you talking about? He was recruited from Inverloch before he went on to play for Melbourne. Of course they would claim him. Not much else has come out of Inverloch. He still has family down there and incidently his sister (Garry Lyon's Ex-wife) have a house down in Inverloch. Garry often mentions that he frequents down in Inverloch. Gippy
  4. Twitter confirmed that Neeld advised that he would be delisted at the first list lodgement. Sad news, possible that we pick him up again as a rookie? Gippy
  5. Was pretty ordinary. I went down to watch as I won tickets from MFC. The whole night was a bit of a shambles. The organizers didn't know how they were going to approach goals and Overs until halfway through the night. Wasn't until about halfway in the first qtr that they decided to play music after each goal and over. Then in the second qtr they started to announce the scorers. And this was just to try and build atmosphere that was lost to the crowd. Didn't help that the Aussies where running around with their shorts around their ankles! There was little to no atmosphere until there was a bit of Argy Bargy after half time. I've been to better IR games. Think it was a bit of waste of time... Gippy
  6. This is complete rubbish! The notion that a player would play any worse because he didn't get to the club he wanted is codswollop. What has any player have to gain in the AFL from playing half hearted? If he didn't want to play for us then he wouldn't have taken the offer. I for one would expect and look forward to seeing Clark hitting packs and taking contested grabs in 2012. Something we clearly lacked in the foward 50 in 2011! Gippy
  7. I've always said that 2014 is our year. And I still think we are on our way there. But I still can't wait for next year. I really hope it won't be the disappointment that was 2011. So so disappointing. Gippy
  8. Wow, its surprising how so many players look good in Red and Blue! But Mitch will fit right in! You know what, I'm glad we don't have rotten colours like Yellow and Brown! (Poos and Wees!) Gippy
  9. Oh man, don't do that. Number 1 has been a bit of a curse over the last few years...
  10. Would be fair to say that MFC having had a big landing like this since Kelvin Templeton and Peter Moore in the early 80's? Hard to remember us luring such a player in the past. This is big news. And I can't wait to see Mitch in the Red & Blue! Super Excited! Go Dees! Gippy
  11. It could be worse, we could have Fushias in our theme song. The mighty Fushias! Thank god we changed our name/mascot! Gippy
  12. You do have to give kudos to Hawthorn and their trading performance over the past few years. They have clearly led the way and have been a big destination for players who want a second chance elsewhere. I think their luck may change come time with Free Agency. They will struggle to keep their salary cap in tact (Which is a re-occuring factor for most top 4-6 clubs) from clubs that have a bit of space in theirs and want to get a scalp. Free Agency is going to be a real interesting change to the trade period I believe. Gippy
  13. Me too mate. I got the No 16 on my new jumper this year, only to watch him get injured in round 7. Broke my heart. I love the bloke and the way he plays! Gippy
  14. Great news to see Greeny resign for at least next season. We really couldn't do without his experience and dare I say it his leadership in the future. What hasn't been confirmed is his captaincy and whether he will continue in this role next season. I particularly think that he will be a co-captain next season with someone who will be out next veteran (if he isn't classed as one already) in Brent Moloney. We the adding of JT and hopefully a full season from Grimes in 2012 in the leadership group I think you will find a new captain out of these two will be announced in 2013. Just my thoughts. Gippy
  15. Go Spurs! Turning it around now. Would love to go to WHL and see a Spurs win one day! I take solace in the EPL when the off season is on. Gippy
  16. Welcome to great Gippslander! I've followed his career from day one and he will be an asset to the club! I'm getting more and more excited and its only the start to the off season. I'll be delirious come February! I hope the cricket season will be good enough to distract me. Gippy
  17. this isn't a huge issue. Slap on the wrist action for EnergyWatch. This would have come from pressure from the energy companies to the ACCC that EnergyWatch don't recommend their services. This is basically action from ACCC saying that they are promising and claiming untruthful facts about their services. This isn't something unusal. Alot of companies (In particular retail, Telecommunications and other sales based industries) get warnings and fines for making claims that aren't true or 'bend' the truth in one way of another. I for one am sure that EnergyWatch will be around for at least the next 3 years. Gippy
  18. Man! There wouldn't be many teams that can say that they have beaten Collingwood three times in a year. I wish we could say that for once! Gippy
  19. This thread should be 'why Geelong won the 2011 Geand Final'. Geelong were just the better team and played that much better. The soft tissue injuries to Jolly and Reid were also a factor. But I still believe that they are better than any alternatives that Collingwood had. I enjoyed the win hugely and I have admired the Geelong playing style for quite sometime now! Gippy
  20. I hear Shakin Stevens and Joe Dolce are free next year and would love any piece of $600k to perform! Thoughts anyone? Gippy
  21. Its not like he was in the coaches box and involved in the match day preps. When I saw it on TV i took it as a good touch from a coach that (lets face it) played a huge part in getting them to the last day of the year. I'm sure that there is no malice in what he did, and I'm sure that if it was Melbourne in the same situation that I would have no problems in the situation. Gippy
  22. I'd welcome him to the club! Good quality Gippsland boy from Heyfield. His old man works with my old man and has played a few rounds of golf with Leigh. He is switched on and has a good knowledge of the game! Gippy
  23. Sorry, Collingwood is the sworn enemy and there is no way I could want them to win! Can't help but admire not only how the Cats have gone about this year and the past 5 years in the AFL. Gippy
