  1. I’m expecting a tough grind in the wet, but I’m quietly confident the traits of guts, grit and determination that we have shown over the last few weeks, combined with our trademark pressure, team defence and winning the contested ball, will get us over the line by a couple of goals. In short, if we play the ‘Melbourne Way’ we will win.
  2. We were awful in the wet against the bombers, and Tommo was probably our worst. I wonder if that has anything to do with his non selection for tonight.
  3. Crompton, Massey, Miller. What an outstanding full back line! Key parts of our 1964 Premiership list. Only Bobby Miller is still with us. So sad. RIP Bernie.💕
  4. I was glued to the Pod right to the end. That has to be worth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thanks as always guys! PS. Maybe I was drowsy towards the end, because I’m sure I heard Binman select the Cats. I was dreaming, wasn’t I? 😄😄
  5. Yes, and more and more he can be seen directing traffic.
  6. As always, another fab pod folks. Thank you for your commitment, the wide-ranging content, and the huge amount of prep time and effort. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  7. His work against C’wood suggested to me that he is now very close to, if not at 100%, following the injury that nagged him earlier in the year. A star at his craft. Where would we be without him? * * no need to respond. I think we all know the answer.
  8. Always love the Pods guys, but after a win over C’wood, it will have special significance this week! A general observation that may have relevance to several questions from fellow Demonlanders: There’s been plenty of talk about no Clarrie and no Petts in our outstanding win against the Pies, but let’s not forget that Bowser was back close to his best form before being subbed off with concussion vs the Blues. There will be a few selection headaches in fitting those three back into the team in coming weeks let alone giving JJ a decent run at it.
  9. 6. Viney 5. Hunter 4. Salem 3. Tomlinson 2. May 1. McVee Riv, Fritta, Max, Gus, Tracc, Lever, and probably others ‘squeezed’ out of the votes, in an outstanding overall Team Performance!
  10. I LOVE our Dees! ❤️💙 Grit and determination prevailed!
  11. This morning’s magpies are this evening’s feather dusters! Dees by a few in a tight one, I reckon.
  12. Is 186 in peril here?
  13. No, but their supporters might! 😀
  14. Well done Goody ……. I love this ploy! We will be ‘on’ from the first bounce, C’wood will respond but wilt like violets. Go Dees!
  15. Great get Andy, and an outstanding interview. I'm really buoyed by Troy's responses!
  16. Sounds like Binman is on the money!
  17. Fairly obvious question from me: When Petty returns from injury, is his primary role for the remainder of this year likely to be as a defender or a forward?
  18. Another fabulous show guys. Huge thanks for the time and effort that you put in each week.
  19. After his first few games, I saw a strong likeness to Schwarta in the way Roo plays, and I still see it! Long may it continue, sans knee recos of course! Future star of the comp.
  20. Many Demonlanders have recognised the value of having Tommo in the team against Carlton, because it improved our defensive structure, and enabled our other defenders to play to their strengths. The outcome was clear to all! There has been less Demonland commentary about Joel Smith’s game against the Blues. I thought his importance to our forward structure, was equal to that of Tommo’s down back. IMO, the role he played contributed significantly to the improved form of JVR and Fritta, and l see Joel as a ‘lock’ for KB. What do the panel think?
  21. Grundy has been solid / good all year, but he will lift against C’wood.
  22. Judd might push him.
  23. Tommo was well beaten by McKay, but he played a critical part in the return to form of our defensive unit. I expect him to play against C’wood.
