  1. I understand where you are coming from Roger, but he has also played his best games when introduced as sub. Maybe that’s what our MC have in mind. PS. I know it seems like weird logic, but ………
  2. Many thanks for another enjoyable and insightful pod guys. As an interstate member, Demonland, and the Podcasts, are my ā€˜lifeline’ into everything Dee’s! Enjoy the bye guys ……… you’ve well and truly earned it! ā¤ļøšŸ’™
  3. A heartbreaking loss, with too many ā€˜heartbreakers’ to mention! Even the six players below, let the team, themselves and us supporters down on occasions with sloppy or careless disposal or lack of awareness. Gawn Bowey Turner Fritsch McVee Howes
  4. Highly commendable effort, and yet again, far too much of it went unrewarded! We’ve seen this story before! Something needs to change, and now that this season is all but over, we need to plan for the future. The second half of the season is huge in that regard. Go for it Dees! ā¤ļøšŸ’™
  5. If we can come within a point of beating C’wood (with all the assistance they were gifted), Port shouldn’t pose too many problems. So long as we bring the true Demon Spirit, we’ll win by 5 goals or so ā¤ļøšŸ’™ If we don’t, well that could be a different story. But we will, and that’s that!!!
  6. I think Blake has some solid AFL qualities. Not exclusively in the backline, but also as a winger or potential HF. I’m not sure where he will finally settle, but very confident that his time as a regular is not too far away. Good signing imo.
  7. I said much earlier in this thread that I was thrilled with Kozzie’s new deal. This interview with Koz literally had tears streaming down my cheeks. Yes, I know I’m an old ā€˜softie’, but ……… https://www.melbournefc.com.au/video/1803506/faith-in-the-future-picketts-long-term-deal?videoId=1803506&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1749702294001
  8. Many thanks for another great Podcast folks. I could ā€˜feel the emotions in the room’: the disappointment at the loss; the pride in our jumper, and our ā€˜fight to the death’ attitude; and the frustration and anger towards the one-sided officiating and the AFL for costing us the win.
  9. I’m incredibly proud of Kozzie and the Melbourne Football Club. This is an outstanding outcome, benefiting all parties, not least us passionate supporters. Go Dees ā¤ļøšŸ’™!
  10. Congratulations Garry. Once an idol, always an idol! Thank you.
  11. āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø pioneer, footballer, leader and person. Congratulations Daisy!
  12. Great team performance, great coaching performance, disappointing result. Thanks umps🤮 May - best game for years. Elliott had little impact. Langdon - sacrificed his usual role for a masterful hard tag on N. Daicos. Gawn - another dominant performance in the ruck, and behind the ball (especially in the last). Turner - solid as a rock. He’s a beauty! Bowey - continued his stellar season. Oliver - his competitive nature and ball winning ability were on show. If only he could kick! Lots of commendations including Petracca, Pickett, McVee & Fritsch.
  13. CRUCIFIED!!h
  14. Luckily, l’m watching from my lounge chair in Canberra. If I was at the game, I’d be carried out by Security for umpire abuse.
  15. Unforgettable memories ā¤ļøšŸ’™
  16. I’m forever an optimist, but I must admit to struggling all week to make a case for how we can win today. Then I remembered last week’s Demonland Podcast, where @binman proffered the very cogent view that he thought we were ā€˜loading’ ahead of the Saints game, to have us peaking for today. I like it! Dees to grind out a 9 point win.
  17. I like tomorrow’s squad! IMO it’s the best we could possibly field given all the circumstances. Will we win against our old nemesis, and the team which currently sits atop the AFL ladder? I sincerely hope so, and I even have an inkling of confidence.
  18. No justice in the world! Hopefully he’s 1,000% recovered from his concussion when he finally gets back on the park.
  19. Huge thanks guys, for another insightful and balanced analysis, this time following our team’s frustrating loss in the Alice ………….. …....…. and then there was your outstanding discussion with Jeff White. Jeff is so ā€˜switched on’ and well spoken, and your extremely thoughtful lines of questioning really hit the mark! Great work by all! Essential listening as always!!
  20. Please don’t remind me!
  21. Two weeks seems right to me. Not a good look for the game, and very lucky that W-M didn’t fail the concussion protocols. I love the intensity and aggression that AJ brings to the game, but he needs to contain it where the head might be involved. He needs to learn from this!
  22. Is it time to have a look at Sestan, to recognise his very good / consistent form at Casey? He has excellent dIsposal. Windsor, who I isn’t really cutting it at half back, could be used to replace Laurie / Sharp as sub. Viney (if fit) replaces the other one in the 23. JVR seems the only logical replacement for AJ.
  23. Kozzie’s missed shot for goal in the first was so casual and deflating it seemed to set the tone for the day. Did we get ahead of ourselves, and assume it would just happen?
  24. Petracca May Gawn Turner McVee Chandler
