  1. Good on him. I hope he becomes a Premiership player with us!
  2. I couldn’t agree more LDC. It’s far too easy to take this wonderful site for granted, and to ignore the enormous effort that it takes by a plethora of people, to keep it up and going. As an interstate member, Demonland is my lifeline to the real world of the MFC and the AFL.
  3. 18 goals. Unbelievable! I doubt (and hope!) that it will never be beaten.
  4. Justice at long last!
  5. Off to a flying start to the season guys. Absorbing listening as always. Thank you!
  6. Perfect choices! Both bring very different but outstanding attributes to the role of leadership. They complement each other extremely well.
  7. Without seeing any of our recruits live, I’m going to stick my neck out, and say that our recruiters have done an outstanding job this off season. Jai is just the latest of a great bunch! ❤️💙
  8. I feel shattered for the poor kid. He’s worked so hard to get to this level, and all his effort was just starting to bear fruit. Footy can be a cruel sport!
  9. Respect for Gus?
  10. Love the return of the Pod guys. I hope you are all refreshed, and ready to go, in a year that will tell us a great deal about our ‘new look’ Dees. I thought there were plenty of positives to take away from the Match Sim vs North, but perhaps the greatest of all, was the competition we seem likely to have for senior spots, across all lines. To me, the scope seems very much greater than it did last year. What do the Panel think (?) and how crucial will it be to our chances in 2025?
  11. As much as I value the outstanding reports from our track watchers, there’s nothing quite like watching footy through your own eyes. I’m excited at the prospect! The scoreboard will be irrelevant, but I’m hoping to get an early glimpse of what season ‘25 might look like for our Dees, both in terms of game style, and what our best team might look like.
  12. Thanks so much for posting bushy. I’m more than happy to admit that I was a youngster in ‘48, and that Flag is probably the main reason I’m still a proud Dee to this day! ps. I was always a bit of a rebel back then, and my folks were ‘one-eyed’ Bombers. It was a perfect opportunity for a bit of one-upmanship.
  13. Gee Tarax, that one takes me back a few years! Lou Richards’ header on the back page of the Herald Sun, after a particularly memorable QB thrashing by our Demons over Collingwood in the early 1960s: “Magpies Today, Feather Dusters Tomorrow” . It must have hurt Louie so much to pen those lines. I love them, and long may the theme continue!
  14. The possibility of that happening might have just increased with the recruitment of Jack Henderson via the SSP process.
  15. …….. so the bloody Magpies get away scot-free again??
  16. Not only that, but she does an awesome job! ❤️💙
  17. ……… and if you could replace Gawny as a top-line ruckman, could you adequately replace his outstanding leadership?
  18. Now that’s true ‘Demon Spirit’.
  19. Outstanding choice for an amazing human being! 💖
  20. I had the great privilege and pleasure of working with Hassa for about 6 months while he was working for the ‘Advance Australia Campaign’ in the 1970’s. As others have mentioned, he is an absolute champion bloke, but the thing I remember most about him (outside his feats on the footy field) was his ‘crushing’ handshake when we were first introduced. Vice-like would be a gross understatement!
  21. This is a disappointing setback for all of us, but I commend our Club for communicating the news immediately. This probably wouldn’t have happened a few months ago.
  22. Broady! ❤️💙
  23. Merry Christmas to all, and special thanks to Andy and the rest of his crew for this wonderful site. Special mention to our fantastic track watchers as well. Living in this dump of a place (Canberra), Demonland is my football ‘lifeline’. ❤️💙
  24. It was a nightmare for Mrs DOF and me. 33,000 ahead of us when we logged in, and when we eventually reached the head of the queue and tried to pay for the tickets, a message came up rejecting our credit card details. We checked and verified the details and repeated the process three more times, all with the same result. We were close to giving up in frustration, when an email arrived confirming that we had successfully purchased our tickets. Presumably some sort of system glitch had given us a false message. I suppose that all’s well that ends well, but that’s two hours of our lives that we won’t get back!
