Great team performance, great coaching performance, disappointing result. Thanks umps🤮 May - best game for years. Elliott had little impact. Langdon - sacrificed his usual role for a masterful hard tag on N. Daicos. Gawn - another dominant performance in the ruck, and behind the ball (especially in the last). Turner - solid as a rock. He’s a beauty! Bowey - continued his stellar season. Oliver - his competitive nature and ball winning ability were on show. If only he could kick! Lots of commendations including Petracca, Pickett, McVee & Fritsch.

I’m forever an optimist, but I must admit to struggling all week to make a case for how we can win today. Then I remembered last week’s Demonland Podcast, where @binman proffered the very cogent view that he thought we were ‘loading’ ahead of the Saints game, to have us peaking for today. I like it! Dees to grind out a 9 point win.

I like tomorrow’s squad! IMO it’s the best we could possibly field given all the circumstances. Will we win against our old nemesis, and the team which currently sits atop the AFL ladder? I sincerely hope so, and I even have an inkling of confidence.

No justice in the world! Hopefully he’s 1,000% recovered from his concussion when he finally gets back on the park.

Two weeks seems right to me. Not a good look for the game, and very lucky that W-M didn’t fail the concussion protocols. I love the intensity and aggression that AJ brings to the game, but he needs to contain it where the head might be involved. He needs to learn from this!

Is it time to have a look at Sestan, to recognise his very good / consistent form at Casey? He has excellent dIsposal. Windsor, who I isn’t really cutting it at half back, could be used to replace Laurie / Sharp as sub. Viney (if fit) replaces the other one in the 23. JVR seems the only logical replacement for AJ.

Kozzie’s missed shot for goal in the first was so casual and deflating it seemed to set the tone for the day. Did we get ahead of ourselves, and assume it would just happen?

I can’t add to most of what has been said above …….. I’m broken hearted like the rest of you! We were out played and out coached. How can it all disappear within the space of a week? Agggh!

We all love it when Demonland is ’up and about’, and despite Ross Lyons best efforts to dampen our mood, he has no chance! Dees by 30 / 40 points, after a dour struggle for 3 quarters.

I started listening to this week’s episode on Tuesday afternoon, and promptly fell asleep 😡. I reckon I’d be the one and only Dees fan to ever do that ……. but I do have a valid excuse. I’d just arrived home from hospital after minor surgery in the morning, and the effects of the anaesthetic hadn’t fully worn off. Never fear, I tuned in again from the beginning on Wednesday, and hung on every word, as I alway do ❤️💙. Thanks guys for hard work, and another outstanding pod.

Vines in for Spargs (injured), is the only logical change imo. If we play like we did against the Lions and the Swans, we shouldn’t have any problems beating the Saints ………. but note the ‘IF’. Personally, I’m disregarding the big ‘IF’, and I’m extremely confident of a comfortable Dees win. I’ll be truly ‘gutted’ if that doesn’t happen! Go Dees!

What a win. Team! Team! Team! Kozzie - electric, and nobody could curb his influence. Max. - a colossus, and nobody could curb his influence. Tracc - a dynamo, and nobody could curb his influence. Clarrie - he’s been building towards his best, and he’s almost there. The joy on his face, was a joy to see! Salo - best game for a couple of years, and Salo at his best is special. Bowser - continued his stellar season. Too many apologies to list them all, but I feel compelled to mention Lingers, Disco and Riv.

A simple recipe for a Demonland celebration later today: Sustain the intensity; Build our skills and decision making, on the back of the new game plan starting to come together; Feed off the growing confidence and belief from the Brissie game. Combine with: arguably, the most in-form lineup we’ve fielded all season; and Tracc’s 200th I feel a celebration coming on! Dees by 40, going away!

From Richo: “Jack has been slowly improving, but unfortunately is not quite ready to return this week," Richardson said. “He will continue to progress through the concussion protocols over the coming week, and hopefully be available for round 12.”

That was truly open and honest interview, and it says a great deal about Tracc himself! He said that he wears his heart on his sleeve, and he sure does!

Win, lose or draw, I always love the Pod, but this one had a bit of an ‘edge’. I could feel a glimmer of excitement, that maybe our season isn’t yet dead after all! Not over the top, but just right. Thanks guys, for all your effort in bringing it to us.
