It's great that Bails has come out publicly in support of his players (we shouldn't meekly accept that sort of crap from the likes of C'wood and C'ton. Excellent post. I honestly don't know where I stand on Bails' MFC future, but I'm confident that our Board members(who are in a much better position than all/most of us to make such judjements) will make the right decision at the appropriate time. Mid-season is definitely not the appropriate time to make a change imo, for the reasons that Jaded has spelt out very clearly.

Robbie definitely captained the Big V (three times!) but I'm not sure of the years. Won AA selection on two occasions.

Agree wholeheartedly WYL. Stan Alves, Frank Davis, Johnny Townsend, Greg Wells and Barry Bourke were some other good or very good players in that era, and yet we were stuck in the bottom half of the ladder. Wasted years indeed.

As bad as both of those were, his general body language was the worst aspect of all. It hurts me to say it, but it was disgraceful coming from one of our leaders. He needs to redeem himself big time.
