I agree with most that last night showed that White isn't going to be around for MFC next year. Thanks Jeff for many great years of service people forget how good a ruckmen you were... even last year you lead the AFL in hitouts. You could probably still play AFL in a top tier team which you may do next year but you accomplishments at the MFC should not be forgotten. ***On a side note MFC has had a great ruckmen for the past twenty years first Stynes and then White, now I think thats why Jamar gets mark so harshly because I think the combination of Jamar and Johnston could easily compete with both Hawthorns and Westerns ruck divisions they just don't dominate games like the previous two had

He had the most tackles for the dees and watching him last night he chased hard on heaps of occassions. There was not one delivery to him that was to advantage that and cat just zones off to have two to three men at each inside F50 contest. Half the twits on this site have never played football I'm sure of it... Some don't understand the instructions players are getting which means they have to sometimes do the 'team' thing like lead away from the contest etc etc... a perfect example is Miller... he was under instructions last year to hand pass it all the time, it wasn't his choice now DB has told him to kick it he looks so much better... He is never going to be Chris Judd (no.3 pick) but he is a good footballer.... round 3 or 4 pick (45-60) what so we can pick up what some young kid who will be okay for the club....

Geelong also traded for Mooney and Ottens... Although it may take a while to get to a premiership sometimes you need to import players.

How quick people change their minds about green... He has had a great year no doubt but would you have selected him at the end of 05 or 06? I think the club has to go with a younger captain and look at the group of young players as they are our future. I personally hate it when a captain of a club gives it up and keeps playing. The captain should be one of the best players and have it to they retire aka Neitz. The club has three options JMAC: give the younger players one or two years to develop before selecting Bruce or Green: have a Capt for three to four or go with a young player so he takes the leadership for the future push in five years: The problem is who? Miller: great this year like Green but struggled before that (although his leadership is meant to be great both on and off the field even if he isn't the best player) Mclean: Should have it but his injury and off season probably cost him Jones: Probably two young only his third season I don't really know the answer

I'm not saying to the players don't try... I'm telling the coach to prevent us winning.... Put Dunn on Palmer instead of Bell Put Garland on Farmer etc etc The players can still give it there all and learn about other players... we just might not win

The hard part is getting ticketmaster to release the tickets once that happens I can't see membership services wanting to do the extra work so you never know I might still be able to help

Guys I thought I would start a new thread about this as I wanted to pat everyone on the back for the ideas with helping the club reduce the debt. Through a few different people in the 'Getting rid of the $4.5 million dollar debt' thread (mainly 45hotgod and Cards13) I put the proposal for a 'dual MFC membership concept with the giving away the entry ticket to someone less fortunate' to the club as my company could have also assisted in helping the club. Well I received an email from Fiona McMahon (MFC membership manager thanks Rogue) who said the board loved the idea and they will be trying to introduce it for next season. The AFL didn't want to use an external company but have stated that ticketmaster have the ability to do it with their software and the club is contracted to the AFL's members service who believe they can delivery the concept. Although it is just the beginning and the club will be workshopping it over the next 3 montsh I thought a congrats to demonland as this maybe a great thing for the club.... p.s now we have to get on board

So how did we blow out 2.3mil... it can't be because of interest

Over the last few seaons they have inform us that they have reduce the debt to a range of 2-2.5mil.... PG has come out at the start of this year and told us the debt would be 4mil... but what happened to the reduction that has occurred???

Although I'm glad they made the plea to the members and finally said 'our club is struggling' as I believe most people thought we would be okay.... But I agree with the comments... we were only 2-2.5 mil in debt at the start of the year it has blown out by 3 mil because of running costs this year..... That's not interest of 500k??? so where are we going to find the extra 3 mil we have spent this season
