  2. The club has a high opinion of Harry Petty who was tossed to the wolves when not ready in his one AFL game against St Kilda. He was recruited as a key position defender who also played forward in his junior days. With Steven May coming to the club and Jake Lever set to return, it might be worth trying Petty up forward.
  3. Hello. Looks like it’s been a relatively quiet night tonight. People have somewhere to go or is this the calm before the storm?
  4. Holey Moley. I’ve had a long, hard day at work and came out of a meeting to check up on what was going on in the world of Jesse Hogan and realised that today is no different to yesterday, the day before and the day before that ... Today must be GRANDHOGAN DAY!!!
  5. Carlton and Gold Coast have used their mature age entitlements with the former trading theirs and GCS keeping them. McAdam is off to Adelaide while the Suns have taken Corbett. Nathan Krueger (South Adelaide) is off to the Cats. Chris Burgess (West Adelaide) and Sam Collins (Werribee) also join Gold Coast. There are still others around worth consideration.
  6. “Gold Coast and Melbourne should finalise a deal on Tuesday that sends Suns defender Kade Kolodjashnij to AAMI Park“. http://m.afl.com.au/news/2018-10-15/trade-wrap-eagles-stand-by-offer-for-kelly The suggestion confirms other reports that the deal for Kolodjashnij will be completed independently of any deal for Steven May.

  8. Holey Moley. I’ve had a long, hard day at work and came out of a meeting to check up on what was going on in the world of Jesse Hogan and realised that today is no different to yesterday, the day before and the day before that ... Today must be GRANDHOGAN DAY!!!
  9. Didn’t Jake Spencer come from Townsville too?
  10. How does that happen when Hogan is contracted to the end of 2019?
  11. You did mention Jack Bytel’s injury history which has affected his draft credentials. His problem that he has a lingering back injury and has hardly played this season. You would need a good medical report to take him in the draft.
  12. I was reading this article in the Age, and if what Peter Ryan and Michael Gleeson are saying is correct (and both are highly respected in the industry) then it would be very hard to arrive at a different conclusion
  13. No wonder the SA clubs are falling over each other to get high draft picks. AFL Draft Power Rankings: SA jet surges to No. 2
  14. I'm not sure if this has been fully played out but I am sure that we being the public are not privvy to all of the machinations of this saga. However, if Jess Hogan remains at the club for 2019 then I would hope that there is a concerted effort on the part of the club to retain him for longer than one season and that will depend on the professionalism of the club and its employees which includes the playing group. On playing ability alone however, we know what he's worth - this is not a good start for Peter Bell and the administration at Fremantle who, based on what I've seen, have conducted themselves deplorably.
  15. I know Solly and he's not a lawyer. He's a dentist.
  16. Q: What's the difference between a lawyer and God? A: God doesn't think he's a lawyer.
  17. Mr. Leg, Remember the bet we made about someone attempting an old third rate lawyer joke? I win. You’re f.....d!
  18. We’re in a restaurant and Redleg is about to order the banana fritters. After he eats it, he’ll be f.....d.
  19. Correct - you can have 3 category B rookies (but only one can be in the Irish recruit category). Problem is that Melbourne has shunned the Irish experiment that produced such greats as the late Jimmy Stynes and Sean Wight. I raised it a couple of years ago at a club function about recruiting and was told that at least at that time, there was little interest.
  20. Knightmare’s Phantom Drafts always make good reading and, of course, will take on more significance if Melbourne can trade into a 2018 first round pick and then keep it until the draft takes place. Chris Doerre's first round AFL Phantom Draft
  21. Some good judges have Smith as a top 5 pick.
  22. The high number of potential changes suggests that we might have a couple of delisted free agents in mind?
  23. NOW @TimGossage on Jesse Hogan's tour of Fremantle "He was there for four hours" #NABTradeRadio
  24. "_____________________ would be open to a trade should the right opportunity come up." Where have I heard this before?
