Tom Fullarton
I’m interested in the Casey track watchers thoughts on Verrall. Johnson tries hard but was only ok playing in a premiership team at Werribee last year. I’m surprised we drafted him. Fullarton doesn’t have the physical game and Jeffo can’t assist Max in the ruck. Verrall is our long term ruck prospect. Can he play a role in the forward line?

Spargo, Sharp or Culley???????
Spargo burnt a few forwards plays last week that should have resulted in a score. In a loss, they would have stood out. A good handball in a win, and he is a genius. I love his determination and attitude on ground, but his impact is at best average. 19 disposals last week will most likely be his season high in 2025. He averages under 12 disposals per games.

Spargo, Sharp or Culley???????
Spargo is slow of foot therefore is poor defensively. Over rated with his fwd entries and disposal impact. Struggles to get 10/12 disposals per games. Sharp has been disappointing so far. I would like to see Curley be given a go when ready. He may be slow but he is strong, hard and can take a mark. He is an accumulator of the ball and can kick goals.

Gotta be impressive by the skills and system the Pies have.

PREGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
Can you name the only ‘reliable’ goal kicker?

PREGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
I like it. I will feel better losing doing something different than doing the same thing each week and losing. I hope the players play a different game as well.

Trade Targets
I do believe it’s called a ‘Quarter or Bag’ I might have to engage in some to numb this season out as well.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
I think an organisation of any type would be sensitive to health of an employee and the stress it places on a family. Add to this the role of an Italian family and the way they work as a family. It was a workplace incident. We need to move past this idea that footy is a ‘man’s’ game and everyone should toughen the F up. If Trac was my family, I’d ask a few questions and lose trust in the club and its medical staff. im sure the club has invited the family into the rooms and facilities and encouraged them to play a role over the years. You can’t have it both ways…

Have to agree with you GW. Bub surfaces every time the club has an issue. He is consistent at least 🥴

PODCAST: Rd 05 vs Essendon
I would like a discussion about list management. I look at the Casey/MFC listed players and I’m placing my hopes on players like Fullarton. Btw, I believe he should be given a chance given our forward issues, but I don’t believe we have the players underneath to make a real impact. Has the club faltered with its draft strategy of giving away mid draft picks focussing on high end picks only? I believe the high end picks will be good players, but our depth is poor and who do we bring in as a glimmer of hope?

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
True that, but my employer never had my health on a knife edge either. If they did balls that up my family would be asking questions (at least)

Or, family is an important element and factor. Mine is.

Port have some big talent and are playing a good brand of football. This is making me feel even worse about our situation.

Time to go Goody?
Goodwin has had months to turn things around. He has the opportunity to reward good form in the VFL by providing opportunities to Fullarton. He has had history to inform him playing Spargo unfit does not work. Players look very unhappy playing. I support the club as well. Massive thanks to Goodwin for giving me a bucket list moment I will always treasure, but he isn’t our next premiership coach. Change is needed.

Time to go Goody?
Roos would not have come to the club without the AFL backing. The USA and retirement was his passion at the time. We can argue semantics here. Agree to disagree!
-
Time to go Goody?
You are asking the wrong persons You Little, but I will say it is definitely not from those who have fat wallets as the only factor. Roos was completely driven by the AFL.

Time to go Goody?
I think we are Bub. I’m reading from the posters who come out of the woodwork consistently when the chips are down to attack the club/personnel as per usual. What is surprising me, is many who don’t have a propensity to attack the club speaking out and calling out for change asap.

Time to go Goody?
Allow those who have an idea run the club. Coterie’s do not have knowledge, they have money. Change should be in the hands of professionals, not dictated by those with money. Your theory would take the club back to the dark days of the 70’s, 80’s, etc. Btw, the AFL was the main factor in getting Roos and Jackson.

Time to go Goody?
We are almost the worst team in the comp with Trac, Oliver, Gawn, May, Langdon and co. We have talent such as Windsor, Lindsay, Langford and JVR. That’s half a team. I wanted to add Fritta to this list as well. At his best he is AA. Change is what is needed. Goody plus others. No point in waiting IMO. start with the coach, others at season end.
