Time to go Goody?
I hoping the words of ‘fully backs’ are the kiss of death Dazzle. Surely the club is looking around for another coach…. Or, at least have a plan B such as bringing in an assistant coach for a succession plan in 2027.

Time to start a rebuild?
I agree on Corey Enright RTG. I’m hearing good things about him coming from St Kilda fans and I think he is gettable. I’d pair him up with Bartel who is in demand and would be harder to convince. One of Clarry or Trac needs to be moved on and Clarry has more trade value. Trac provides more leadership with his training standards and the club needs to keep such leaders to drive improvement for our next tilt to finals. The team also needs players who can play in different positions and Clarry does not provide much, other than being a midfielder. My concern is Clarry will get back to his best at another club. I am sick of our forward line playing defensive half forwards but we need at least one. Viney can play this role. This means Spargo and Spaz either play at Casey as back up and depth, or if we can get good value in trade, trade them. The club needs to focus on recruiting fast attacking midfielders and small forwards who have smarts and pace. Prasad is a year too young unfortunately and he will come to us in 2027. With Prasad coming our way, at least we can play around with next year’s draft picks, focus on points and trade out the higher picks to bring in players this year.

Salem runs on a treadmill. He would be eaten alive in the middle. He is good with ball in hand, but he can no longer run faster than a two year old.

PREGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
I agree, our playing stocks are limited therefore Spargs should be getting games, but I hope the club recruits small forwards who are more threatening in the attacking and defensive aspect of playing forward. Charlie is at 0.6 goals and 0.62 goal assists per game in his career. His possession average is 11 disposals per game. These stats are on the lower level of average, bordering on poor. His kicking skills are over rated on Demonland given he averages 6 kicks per game and struggles to kick 40 meters. He is a smart footballer and knows how to position himself on field, but he is not overly athletic and has average speed. Other than playing half forward or wing he is limited to be played in other positions. This is not a personal attack in Spargo, just my view on his ability at AFL level.

PREGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
Spargo has some great attributes, but he has some poor/average ones as well. Getting his hands on the ball and scoreboard impact, he is on the poor scale. As you said he is a half forward. Forwards kick goals and have a higher percentage of goal assists.

I would not say Spargo was very good for Casey last week. 16 disposals for an experienced AFL player in a lower league is, at best good. I’d say he was ok.

Can we talk about Kolt?
Point missed… 🤔

Where is Fritta Going?
If this is to occur, does this mean we get our first round pick back?

Can we talk about Kolt?
Fixed it for you GW. What’s your thoughts on his progression as a player?

Forward line fixed (for the time being)
Therefore at his age he is thinking of retirement, not semi-retired. TMac gives his all on field and the training track. @bluey likes put out of date jam on most things. His forward days are over, but his impact down back is not.

Forward line fixed (for the time being)
When did TMac semi retire? Last I looked he is still full time. Serious question

Forward line fixed (for the time being)
Fixed until our next loss, then talk will open up for a trade for McKay, Lord, Harvey Jnr, etc etc. Add in Jeffo not having enough mongrel, being weak and VFL standard only… On a serious note, I tend to believe Jeffo is the type who needs time to settle into higher leagues before he impacts. Similar to when he eased into VFL level. Belief is this young man’s issue, he has footy smarts. Yesterday was an improvement and he needs more improvement moving forward. He is young and will improve if managed well by our coaches. Keep on playing him to give him his taste on what is needed to perform with the big boys. Another big pre season is needed prior to the 2026 season.
