NON-MFC: Round 17
Yep, but they will win even when not on top of their game.

It’s over - if you’re CEO, what’s the fix?
C’mon Cranky. My post was talking about competent focused leaders who embrace diversity. Win win situation. They are not exclusive to each other and I support both.

Diversity focused leaders with high level competency exist in many areas You are being dismissive and aligning yourself to fake news to think otherwise Cranky.

We will have to disagree here GW. My info says different. I’m happy the stars aligned and factors changed

Trade Targets
Highlighting data can also include ignoring and dismissing other factors and data. Wheelo does a great job with providing us with stats without the condescension imo.

Welcome to Demonland: Oscar Berry
Being hopeful, he could be the new Blicavs.

Trade Targets
No Probs 48. My post was more directed to others in pointing out their own (disguised) confirmation bias by using data. Confirmation Bias is the new Revisionist buzz word at present.

Trade Targets
We moving the ball forward quicker than most teams. In fact we are the second fastest to move the ball forward. Is this effective? Nope. Do we have poor skills kicking for goal? Yes. If I was to interpret fast ball movement, it would mean through the sticks, not through the oval. As I said we are ineffective.

Trade Targets
It’s a way of saying you see what you want to see things due to your own bias or ideas. On Demonland, it is used as tool to dismiss your beliefs or argument. Many on here use isolated stats to ague their point to confirm their confirmation bias. This is seen as fact and not an interpretation of fact, or confirmation bias.

Can we talk about Kolt?
You remind me a lot of Kane Cornes, Bluey.

Possibly Layzie. The word around town this year’s draft is hugely compromised and the club has a history of trading future picks into earlier drafts. If the talent is there the club will try to enter into this draft as well. With Tassie possibly coming into the league, it maybe a lot harder. I’m of the opinion the club thought it could trade up further in the 2023 draft for pick one to get Reid. It didn’t occur with Kolt and Windsor coming our way. Either way I am very happy with Langford and Lindsay. IMO Lindsay will be the better of the two.

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Gold Coast
I really like the Casey listed players and what they have provided. They have done a fantastic job this season. But, they are the main act and our AFL listed players are the cameo roles. I’m not fussed with Campbell being the main man in the ruck. He is on standby for Max if needed. Verrall should be played as a hybrid ruck/forward whilst he develops. I’ve watched many games and he spends too much time on the bench imo.

There is a market for SWYL. You make me smile reading your post!

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
I’m hoping Kalani sees one team who have many big key position men (GC) and the thought of fighting his way into the Suns team as a daunting prospect. The Dee’s provide more opportunities to play at AFL level. Team success can turn around quickly when you are that young.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Ok, this is my last word on this as it could go on and on and on. The inaccuracies you were rebutting are not actual inaccuracies. My point is we move the ball fast but it is not effective. The nonsense you called out, is not nonsense in my view. Your stats on the last 3 quarters do not tell the full picture. The way you use stats is your platform with what you like to do. School others….

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
In isolated they can be. AFL is complex being a 360 degree game with so many factors to take into account. The ultimate stat is games won, and we have been poor at this for almost 2 years. Our ball movement maybe fast, but it’s mostly ineffective in overall output.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Now there is a damming judgement of character/opinon Binman. Fact is we were outscored in the second and third quarters combined. We fought back galantly in the second but when challenged Gold Coast outplayed us once again. Qualitative (experience) data has a role to play in examining the game as well. Just saying 🙄

Who is our next captain?
Hopefully JT doesn’t bring in chopped liver

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
There were many junk time last quarter scores when the game was lost that make these stats look inflated. As for the ease and effectiveness of ball movement, the Suns had this in spades over us. The amount of times the Suns had players free and who provided easy targets was concerning. The Suns play with better method and have better skills. My 👀’s don’t lie 😜.

2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
If they go ok, they will be a good chance at selection Thursday night

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
I’d be more than happy for the club to throw the 💩 and boycott next week

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Windsor needs to play and on a wing. Disappointed Sestan is injured, he would have been worth a go at this stage. I would t be disappointed if Adam’s was given a go and replaced Howes. His form has been inconsistent but give him a look at AFL level and it wouldnt hurt the club. Lever’s body is shot, is too slow and his disposal is below average. He needs a rest to get himself right for next year. JVR is an obvious one.
-
POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
Inclusions will be TMac, JVR, Lever and Laurie. I’m not anticipating any surprises or anything different.

It’s over - if you’re CEO, what’s the fix?
The inside word I received prior to the season was Kozzie was leaving to WA and Goody will go at seasons end if we don’t make finals. Take it as you will as Kozzie is a demon for life (overjoyed by this). But at the time I do believe Kozzie was looking elsewhere and informed the club late last year. If Goody stays it will be more about his payout than wanting to keep him as coach. His win loss record over the last 50 games is not good. Last year’s review recognised that the club had a favourable draw and finals was a minimal pass mark. I will be forever thankful for Goody and the premiership he gave us all, but it seems he has lost his way and the club should bring in someone new at a reduced pay to stay within the cap in the first year and increase it in later years. (Back loading the contract). Alan Richardson was seen as a weak Football Manager from the review and he needs to be replaced at minimum at years end. Who knows how the new CEO and President will views things. Their job is to build a strong performing club which includes the football department.
