Pfft, and we’re that terrible club that nobody wants to be at. Turns out Nibs is the only one who’s gone and even then he didn’t want to leave, he had to. He left reluctantly. Believe what y’all wanna believe but Tracc didn’t wanna leave, nor did Clarrie. Oh, and Fritta. He loves the MFC. Has said all along the only way he’d leave is if he’s booted out. He doesn’t wanna be anywhere else.

We believe we’ll be at the opposite end to the grandstand/station. I’ll post here when it’s 100% confirmed. We’re also currently finding out about the chair situation. Some grounds don’t allow people to bring camp chairs. I did experience the horror of Vic Park back in the day but I managed to be at our game at Windy Hill (arguably worse than Vic Park) last year without ‘nam flashbacks so I think it should be ok 😅 There’ll be more of us this week. Round one clashed with the men’s Hawks game which only some of us left early in order to get to Whitten Oval on time. Round two being at Casey meant some couldn’t get there because of the travel time. This week will see a great representation ❤️💙

Why else would I want the job?! 😅 Reece asked me if I’m able to run 10km in 120 minutes. I lied and said yes. He said I could have his job when he retires but it’s ultimately up to Richo. I asked Richo and without any hesitation or questions he said yes. I have a sneaking suspicion he was just humouring me, though. I told them I’d do it for free. Just waiting for Reece to retire. Cut to me being told “Ghosty, it’s been seven whole minutes, you need to let go of Melky!”

I was sure this would be the case. Very pleased it’s not. I sincerely hope we get heaps of people to both matches. Our first W home game on Saturday and the attendance was a disappointing 2151 and that’s coming off a thumping win in round one, on a clement day (by Casey standards), and it’s including Saints supporters and the added incentive of the helicopter ball drop. Really hoping more people will attend this week’s match at Vic Park which is more accessible than Casey being that it’s closer to the city. The VFL playing an elimination at Casey should be incentive enough. This is when we need the most support… a win this week keeps the dream alive.

Who knows what the future holds, right? We may get a previous fitness guy back. It’s not beyond the realm of possibility. Stranger things have happened.
