I’m at Flinders right now and the place is swarming with them and there’s still three hours to go. There are little infestations of them everywhere. Take a break, exterminators. I’d definitely go Heater. She’s a tiny little human being who doesn’t say much but she’ll slam-tackle anyone who gets in her path regardless of their size. And she sticks her tackles too. She’s feisty to say the least. And Paxy who is soft-spoken and has a gentle disposition which belies the way they play.

On my way home from banner making (final men’s banner for 2025 ☹️) and my train is packed with Essendon and Carlton supporters. Probs 75% Essendon. Totally! He really stood out today. He cuts an imposing figure. AJ is the sweetest person off-field, he’s quiet and gentle-natured. I once asked him about the Jeckyll & Hyde thing and he said, “I don’t know, I just step onto the field and instantly get white line fever, every time.” I thought white line fever was when a driver is kind of hypnotised by the lines on the road during a long period of driving, but clearly there’s a sports-related meaning as well 🤷‍♀️
