So this week I checked and double-checked and even triple-checked that I had my phone before leaving the rooms (something I should’ve done last match, but didn’t 🙄). But as I was walking out of the ground I heard someone call my name from a distance. It was Bill Laurie and he was holding something up. I ran back and he said “You must’ve dropped this.” It was my Luker badge. I said “How did you know it’s mine?” He said, “We all knew it was yours. Everyone knows how much you love him.” And here I thought I was being discreet. 😅

I don’t know about today but two weeks ago vs Box Hill it was compulsory for the seniors to be there

Apparently Steven King was there taking notes, as was a ‘scout’ from another club but I can’t remember who.

He seems a nice person. But then so do most folks when you first meet them. He was standing with Paul Guerra but I didn’t know who he was. I said to Paul “Now Paul, you know what you have to say, don’t you.” And Paul said, “Yes Ghosty… Essendon is dead to me.” 😂 Steve laughed at this and I said, “This is NOT a laughing matter! I’m trying to exorcise the Essendonness outta him!” Then Paul tells me who he is. 🤭

I didn’t see him but was told he was spotted there. No Claz though. Some of the firsts came into the rooms after the match. Max was there congratulating the boys and he had George and Louis with him.

Max is here, as is X, Harves, Salo, Tracc, Fritta. Probably the whole side.

Poor Charles. They attempted to put his shoulder back in while he was on the bench. Unfortunately it didn’t work and the pain etched on his face was hard to see

Nah that’s Claire. She’s his #1 fan. She’s a DA gal and her boyfriend sits with her and doesn’t mind her screeching like a banshee every time Charles goes near the ball. Well, he has no choice.

I don’t know Clyde nor Berwick but chances are I’ll (unnecessarily) visit both at some stage today.

I’m currently on the replacement bus from hell (tautological coz there’s no other kind of replacement bus). I know how to get to Casey ordinarily but yet another awesome thing about replacement buses is that the minute they depart there goes any semblance of familiar surroundings. I asked the bus driver to please tell me when we’re at Springvale station. He said, no coz he needs to concentrate on driving. But… another passenger overheard and he’s getting off there so he said to get off when he does. Sounds good right? Yeah nah, not good at all. A couple of minutes later he was talking and laughing to himself or the voices in his head or whomever (no Bluetooth in sight). And now I’ve just noticed he’s asleep. I could be anywhere right now. If ever a team owed a fan a win… this is it. Update: another passenger kindly told me we’re approaching my stop. My snuggle -buddy was still asleep (perilously close to my shoulder 😳) so I did the righty and woke him since it’s his stop too. Turns out that was the wrongy. He was filthy on being woken. Called me a Marty Hore minus the Marty and with W before Hore 😱

Tbf, there are worse shows than Aussie Truckers. They number in the 10s, but they do exist 😁

I don’t feel the cold, Slartz. The rain, on the other hand… my poncho is my bff today.

My ebullience meter is jammed on ‘High’ for this one. I’ve only seen Casey live three or four times this season and they’ve all been losses. Vs Box Hill two weeks ago was the first win. They’re so impressive, and 100% invested. Deaks is an awesome captain. GO THE MIGHTY CASEY DEMONS! ❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙

Couldn’t make it to Gosch’s today HW. I was too busy coming second in an Irish dancing competition called “Jim’s Jig” at a Reach Foundation Luncheon at the ‘G. True story. I made the final three but lost out to some corporate guy, and Banno came third. I beat Banno, that’s a win every day of the week 😅 On a serious note, Banno is very confident of a win on Sunday, despite our ever-growing injury list. She said the team is in a good place and they’re all playing for each other. Total unity. Did I mention I beat Banno in an Irish dancing dance-off? 😜 #T’BeSure

Do you read posts before commenting? Clearly you don’t because if you did you’d know that I asked him ONCE about his contract, and any and all subsequent discussions have been brought up by HIM, ie. NOT me. Understand now? Or need I say it another bazillion times. Posters like you and @Ethan Tremblay (who said if he was a player and a fan was hassling him he’d say anything to shut them up) are not only rude but also clueless. Do you really think I’d be made to feel so welcome by everyone at the club if I was hassling anyone? Think about it. No, I wouldn’t be. Ugh I can’t believe I’m yet again doing this. Because of people like you and your ilk I’ll never again share anything I know that’s yet to become public knowledge.
