  1. I was standing next to the bench because I like hearing Taylor tell the runner what to tell the players. If the runner is already out there he tells the player who’s about to go on to pass on messages. Very interesting. With about five minutes to go Taylor told Big Fish (WV28) to let them all know to ice the game. He said for them not to take any risks.
  2. Jeffo off with a right foot issue, big toe. Grimacing in pain. They’re taping it up now He’s on the stationary bike now. He said it’s still sore but not broken. Phew
  3. Heaps of people here. It’s sunny with no wind. Nice to see many of the firsts here.
  4. Chappy… Not El Chapo 😝
  5. Actually you can be forgiven for misspelling his name; even his own cheer squad spelled it incorrectly on a milestone banner a couple of years ago. It read “Bruest” instead of “Breust.” They shoulda just gone with “Punky” like they did yesterday 😅
  6. I think @Meggs does this (?) It’s difficult to write up a report when you’re a cheer squad member; as with the men’s, I spend a lot of game time apologising to folks for almost taking their eye out with my flag or concussing them with my flagpole 😁
  7. I left just before halftime. Did I miss anything? 😅 Thank goodness for our W team. So proud of them and it was awesome to sing the song, we’d almost forgotten the lyrics.
  8. Soooo good to sing our song! Super proud of our team, they did us proud. The atmosphere was crazy good, and as cold as it is we didn’t feel it… too much to be excited about! PS fourth Red Bull wearing off… about to hit the wall… hard. 😅
  9. … and Judd, of course!
  10. Maggie’s fam went nuts when she ran out. Almost drowned us out 🥳
  11. Seriously y’all… we have so many cancellations. Please consider coming to sit in our bay (M33). Sitting up close to the action is the best! Or you can sit towards the back where your life won’t be in danger 😅
  12. Cheers for the mental image
  13. Your little sheet rack will need more than a rack to dry out if the weather forecast is accurate. Our DA head honcho just told us there’s a chance of “small” hail. We should be grateful for small mercies, it’s better than big hail 😅
  14. DON’T MOZZ IT!!!!
  15. Liar 😂
  16. There’ll still be someone at the back of the bay up until game time or when tickets are exhausted As @Dee in a Kilt might attest, sitting in our bay is the most fun. 🥳
  17. We have had more cancellations this morning. Anyone who’d like to sit in our bay please feel free to come to the back of M33 before the game and ask one of our friendly staff (or me 😅) for a ticket into the cheer squad bay. You just have to get yourself into the ground with your membership or however you normally do, the ticket into our bay is free. I’ve been tasked with filling the empty seats. Please don’t make me have to corral (likely unwilling) randoms and frogmarch them into our bay. Come say hello even if you don’t wanna sit with us, but be prepared to have your arm twisted, I’ll be the one in red and blue (cheer squad joke… never not funny, to us anyways). Come and experience the fun and noise! And a healthy dose of wanton carnage. PS I hope your team wins! Again, cheer squad joke and again never not funny, to us anyways.
  18. PS we’re in the away team cheer squad bay today (M33 Ponsford end). Despite being given a stingy allocation of seats (thanks Hawks, ya pack o’ mugs) we have seats available in our bay due to DA folks being unexpectedly unable to attend. If anyone is interested… from when gates open at 2:30pm there’ll be a few of us at the back of M33 who can be approached for seats in our bay. GA is all you need. It’s a “dry” bay (no alcohol) and the strictest rule is no opposition colours. These seats are not undercover so make ponchos your friend. Embrace the poncho!!!
  19. GAMEDAY!!! Let’s do this, Dees! Oh, who am I trying to kid. I’m not even fooling myself this week let alone anyone else 😅 I’ve been working since 7am, gotta be at the ‘G at 2pm, DA duties ‘til the first bounce, leave at halftime to head over to Whitten Oval for our W season opener, tomorrow make the six-hour round trip out to Casey to cheer on our VFL lads and all this littered with replacement buses. YAY! No amount of Red Bull, caffeine and Berocca will… Wait, what am I saying?!?! I’ve come to my senses now. GO YOU MIGHTY DEMONS! GIVE ‘EM HELLLLLL!!! Three Dees wins from three Dees matches!!! Yeah the Dees ❤️💙
  20. LOL “find”
  21. Why do folks seem to assume a new coach = a successful coach, or even just a better coach? Genuine question. Like every other supporter I really hope our new coach is successful, but I know it’s not a given.
  22. You may indeed suggest the “ignore” option - humbly or otherwise - but it will be a wasted suggestion. “Ignore” works well until someone quotes the hitherto ignored post at which point it’s no longer ignorable and is henceforth unignored. Sweet mother of god I’m repeating myself about posters who repeat themselves
