  1. A massive thumping but at a cost. Didn’t Garner sustain an injury today?
  2. Yes! It IS a sign! It’s a sign that Lily Johnson’s boyfriend came to watch her play.
  3. I didn’t read past sweet pea, chump
  4. Despite a valiant effort, the umps just couldn’t get the Pies over the line. Not for want of trying though, they gave it everything. What a [censored] farce. Not sure if it was the same when watching on TV but at the ground the siren was barely audible. Super annoying, especially since there was a bank of speakers directly in front of us and every single other thing coming out of them was deafening. This win was starkly different from the first two but we’ll take it. Beating Collingwood is always a special kinda warm n fuzzy. Oh and if you needed any further evidence of what an incredible captain Max is… he and George were there today from start to finish. Something else that’s cool was that when they went out onto the ground after the match nobody mobbed Max, everyone was too busy clapping and cheering the girls.
  5. Guy is so proud today. It’s so good to see. Also cool to see Fmac here today (Family Mac) Tmac and the fam
  6. I initially did respond with humour, knowing that you didn’t intend to offend. But when that other poster chimed in with a similar sentiment, (except he was intentionally offensive) I tarred you with the same brush and I ought not have. Apologies accepted and likewise please accept mine 🙂 edit: I still take issue with you lumping me in the same basket as Fence though. So not cool 😁
  7. I just wanted to make something perfectly clear… I didn’t take this photo. Idk who took it but I personally wouldn’t ever take a photo of one of our players while they’re obviously in such pain.
  8. Nailed it! This is EXACTLY what happens. Yesterday during the quarter time huddle I was talking to Maysie (well, I was actually playing with Millie, his baby daughter) when a teenager approached and straight up asked Maysie if it’s true that he’s leaving. Maysie said what you’ve said above but of course not in those words. He told this boy that a journo will suggest something might happen for whatever reason, it gets repeated by other people in the media, and the fans start to believe it because it’s what everyone’s saying. He told the kid he’s not leaving and the talk of him leaving is entirely made up, all starting with one media person. That’s how Maysie explained it to this teenager and in essence it’s what you’re saying above.
  9. This makes sense. The Box Hill game two weeks ago was one day after the seniors’ final game of the season and that’s why attending that match was compulsory. Attending today’s match was optional. As Jaded said, it’s nice to see so many of them choosing to attend. And not just attending, but coming out to the quarter and three-quarter time huddles, encouraging the boys. Then in the rooms afterwards.
  10. … and it’ll be played on the Gold Coast, and not even at Carrara. Boooo!
  11. Schrödinger’s contract
  12. Fish was nowhere to be seen.
  13. I kid you not Jaded, she wasn’t near a microphone. True story. She does this at every match and we’re all at the point of not even noticing it anymore. LOL when someone new sits with us for the first time and Charles gets the ball, she lets loose with the shrieking and they’re like WTF was THAT?! 😅 It’s indeed a SpargiPants cheer squad but it’s a one-person cheer squad.
  14. Didn’t he look great running through the middle with ball in hand: with purpose and so confident, he knew exactly what to do.
  15. So this week I checked and double-checked and even triple-checked that I had my phone before leaving the rooms (something I should’ve done last match, but didn’t 🙄). But as I was walking out of the ground I heard someone call my name from a distance. It was Bill Laurie and he was holding something up. I ran back and he said “You must’ve dropped this.” It was my Luker badge. I said “How did you know it’s mine?” He said, “We all knew it was yours. Everyone knows how much you love him.” And here I thought I was being discreet. 😅
  16. I don’t know about today but two weeks ago vs Box Hill it was compulsory for the seniors to be there
  17. Apparently Steven King was there taking notes, as was a ‘scout’ from another club but I can’t remember who.
  18. No idea. We were wondering the same thing.
  19. He seems a nice person. But then so do most folks when you first meet them. He was standing with Paul Guerra but I didn’t know who he was. I said to Paul “Now Paul, you know what you have to say, don’t you.” And Paul said, “Yes Ghosty… Essendon is dead to me.” 😂 Steve laughed at this and I said, “This is NOT a laughing matter! I’m trying to exorcise the Essendonness outta him!” Then Paul tells me who he is. 🤭
  20. Was it a very rare moment where she was quietly standing still? Please say yes
  21. I didn’t see him but was told he was spotted there. No Claz though. Some of the firsts came into the rooms after the match. Max was there congratulating the boys and he had George and Louis with him.
  22. Max is here, as is X, Harves, Salo, Tracc, Fritta. Probably the whole side.
