  1. The cost of getting any of these venues to the minimum standard is a drop in the ocean. Especially when the main need is extra seating.
  2. You’re one of many who say this and it’s perfectly understandable. There are Demon Army members who don’t go because it’s so much of a hassle to get to. They’ll attend games at Ikon, no worries. They’ll help make the banner and they’re invested but it’s too difficult for them to get to Casey. It’s such a shame because IMHO our attendance figures would soar were we to play at venues closer to the city.
  3. Heater is listed as “to be monitored”
  4. Would LOVE for this to be the case. Attendance figures would surely rise.
  5. At this point the weather forecast is looking good: 20 degrees and no rain. We’ll be putting on a sausage sizzle and there’ll be the usual fun things for kids: face painting, mini-golf putting, etc. Would love to see more people attend this time around. ❤️💙
  6. Our first home game (Rd 2) complete with all activations, the many giveaways and the $10,000 helicopter ball drop would have been a massive success had it been at Ikon or similar, IMHO. Also IMHO, all the planning and execution went to waste. A crowd of only 2,152 meant so many leftover freebies, food and drink. It also meant the 10,000 golf balls dropped from the helicopter dwindled to 5,000 and even then over half of the balls were redundant. Such a shame because the people who did attend had a great time.
  7. Oh I forgot about Punt Rd… another venue that would work.
  8. Ikon and Vic. Park are standout venues. Inner city, close to train stations, shops etc., adequate seating, decent amenities. The only downside with both is the length of queues for food and drinks. Some folks missed an entire quarter queuing for food. Whitten Oval, Windy Hill, Arden St and even Moorabbin and Kinetic Park (which are both further from the city) are also good venues except for the lack of seating. GMHBA is also a good venue seating-wise and amenities-wise. There’s a train station at its doorstep too. I’ve asked all the girls at some point or another how they feel about playing at Casey. The consensus is they wish their home games were played at Ikon. They appreciate the awesome indoor facilities at Casey therefore training there is ok, but they’d love to play at Ikon.
  9. Aaaaand I’m out. Yet again. See y’all in any thread other than this one 👋
  10. Firstly, thank you for the respectful reply. It’s much appreciated that we can differ on this matter but still be civil 👍🏽 Some people are clearly affected in a way that others aren’t.
  11. It was after yet another thumping dealt to us. It was during a particularly bleak time for us. He was pretending to be bored having just smashed us and while I’m sure it was quickly forgotten by most people, it remains a sore point to some Dees fans, especially those who were watching the broadcast live, ie. it doesn’t seem as bad now, it certainly was in that moment.
  12. Same. We’re not privy to the process and all it entails therefore we have to trust the club to select the best candidate.
  13. Folks dismissed it as a harmless bit of silliness. I took it as a sign of his character. It’s certainly not unforgivable but should he be given the job it would behove him to address this because clearly there are Dees fans who are still aggrieved by it.
  14. We definitely need to talk about the venues.
  15. As long as he can stay awake while the boys sing the song post-match 🙄
  16. The elevated heart rate isn’t as serious as first thought because there seems to be a reason for it… a combination of recovering from a virus + dehydration.
  17. What part of “AS LONG AS IT’S CASEY” do you not understand? 😂 All good. You stick with your Dolphins and may the best team win. Which of course will be Casey
  18. You weren’t alone with this sentiment, RnR. During our match it was such a distraction for us, especially when Harris Andrews was up our end (pardon the pun)
  19. Yep. Whichever team wins plays the Sharks in QLD in the prelim.
  20. Hey Bobby! Please see above message directed at Sisso, then consider it directed at you too. Seeya both there on Saturday (in red and blue of course) ❤️💙😊
  21. ROUND 3 MOTY: VOTE FOR TAYLA! This week Tay has not one but TWO noms for MOTY. Please vote for her. Voting takes under a minute. Voting closes at 10am this Thursday. Just do it!
  22. Typical male… commitment issues 😁 JK Sisso, you can barrack for whichever team you choose As long as it’s Casey
  23. It’s gonna be a loooooong day for some of us (the W play at Casey at 12:35pm on the same day)
