Don't see it happening. Humphrey will only request a trade if one is likely to get done.

Honestly, once Gold Coast doubled down late last week I just couldn't see any way for them to backflip without doing massive damage to their reputation going forward. No one would ever believe them going forward if they said a player wouldn't be traded. Players who are looking to get out in future would be even more emboldened to do so. It might come back to bite them with Humphrey in a couple of years when they get a token pick for him but it's an 'execute one to teach a thousand' approach.

Funny how Petracca has basically avoided saying anything publicly and is just letting the process play out.

He still seemed pretty chuffed with the decision a week ago.

Tim Lamb said in an interview last week that we deliberately looked to get out of this draft. Would be weird if all we did this offseason was get back into it.
