  1. Richmond will just end up using Waverley if we drag our feet.
  2. Baker has turned into a good role player for the dogs but not really sure why people are slitting their wrists over losing him. He's a pretty pure winger and we've got plenty of those on our list already. He's also playing in a top 4 team which tends to make players like him look better. Put him in Essendon's current side and he'd struggle to get a touch.
  3. Carlton are going to smash us at the clearance and contested possession. We've already been well beaten in those areas over the first two weeks so we'll need to make sure we limit the damage they get out of that. We are pretty good when we turn the ball over though so need to pressure and punish them when we have the opportunity.
  4. Looked like he was cramping
  5. We were pretty much always rubbish on the road until the Roos/Goodwin era.
  6. Laid a great one in the practice match against Richmond that lead to a goal. He knows how to do the defensive stuff.
  7. Was pretty funny Eddie hijacked FC last night to sook about his favourite player getting un-suspended.
  8. Media's reaction ot Longmuire's comments have been ridiculous. Everything he said was correct and no one engaged with his actual point in good faith.
  9. Where did Roo grow up? Got a real country lad vibe about him. I know he played for Claremont as a junior.
  10. Ryan's leap was so good he'll win. He didn't actually mark it but it's always fun to have a bit of controversy in these things. I would love to see Pickett's goal win it all this year. Not the best goal I've ever seen but certainly one of the most entertaining. He didn't know where he was going at the end he was just taking bounces for fun lol.
  11. He seems to benefit from having a direct opponent.
  12. A shame Petracca is no longer with us. Might have heard Sixteen Tons after he kicked a goal.
  13. Very likable sort. Loved seeing all the players get around him after his goal.
  14. Brilliant game. Most fun I've had at the footy in years.
  15. Nah they just want less stoppages. Lasso rule is great. No ambiguity. Hug the boundary line at your own risk.
  16. Player agents would blame Essendon for that.
  17. Richmond are fine, as for the rest, apart from Carlton who just need a modern coach, all those teams have recruited and managed their lists abysmally. Imagine if West Coast had taken our offer for Reid, they’d be way further ahead. North just keep getting midfielders every year. Essendon have been stocking up on first rounders for five years and very few of them are anything to get excited about.
  18. I feel like the club has done pretty well to turn the other cheek especially wrt Oliver.
  19. My read is that it was a lot easier for Guerra to address the elephant in the room as an outsider. No one within the club wanted to be the guy to sack our only living premiership coach. Once Guerra forced the conversation everyone fell in line because it was the most obvious and sensible decision.
  20. See you tomorrow.
  21. Haha Lyon breaking the story of all people made it pretty obvious the club wanted it out there.
  22. It’s round 1. High 40s I reckon
  23. This situation is so strange.
  24. Got some pretty bad memories at the MCG too
  25. Moore seems like a much better AFLPA rep than Dangerfield.
