I know i am playing with fire such is the request that we tone down this constant adulation of AFLW players. It goes on relentless 12 months a year. There are more positive comments about AFLW than the mens which is odd considering the massive difference in public interest. AFLW players are lauded as brilliant athletes and legends or potential legends of the game. Every AFLW article is basically the same. The most positive thing i can think of is that AFLW has eaten into cricket media pie. Good, i cant stand modern day mens cricket.

MFC should treat all 2023 practice matches like theyre H&A games for points. Try all the top 4 or 5 VFL players and give as much game time as possible. We want to grab this season by the throat from R1.

Melksham was one of the reasons we had such a good year in 2018. Damn good player when in form. If Spargo Melk & Sparrow have good years along with the rest of MFC we're a big shot for the flag. Its all there in place, were not asking for much. No miracles req.

Sounds terrific but i doubt MFC dominates in the bumper sticker competition. When i was still in Melbourne Essendon and Collingwood dominated everything even more so than Carl/ Rich. Farmer played for MFC for several years. He didnt jump ship barely having played for his new club like these guys are doing today. Farmers son is elligible under father/son rule.

I dont recall there being much of a problem with interstate players getting home sick and leaving in the 80's & 90's. Maybe theyre just too young straight out of the draft. Clubs should give precedence to local players. How would that policy have gone if we hadnt picked Jacko? Who was the first vic player after LJ?
