  1. Absolutely, i cant understand it and people say we might be, but that would have been reported by now.. surely with Richo in the club he would know a bit about him and what he can do he would be ideal for us.. its bizarre as Weid is not established, Tommy Mc is injury prone and basically ha done good year up fwd, Petty who knows?? This is what annoys me from the outside, Dogs being pro active and not us.
  2. So Demon Forever.. im not being smart at all here, but i just want a bit of clarification because i respect what you have to say, so is the wash up that Trac wont move (at least this trade period) and that while there is a bit of agitation within the club, its not a total disaster? Is that fair?
  3. Wasnt really comparing him to those players more so about the levels of criticism he gets, bit like Jonesy gets, which i find crazy, but thats just me.
  4. Lyon is past champion, loyal and has great care for the club regardless of past involvements, he gets [censored] on at every chance by most supporters.. I hoe this does not happen to Jonesy, i have my frustrations with him, but i love players that remain loyal through tough times.
  5. have thought the exact same thing re: him playing for the Saints.
  6. I agree wrecker with everything you say. its time to stop the criticism of the past players and the boys club mentality, im pretty sure they love the club like we do. the Dogs do it so well, the Tigers, the Hawks.. we need to find the love for the club again, for what it stands for, for what it was and what we want it to become. We dont have to forget the past, we just need to acknowledge it and we need to move on.
  7. yeah it is very easy to say that i agree, and i can understand the cynical nature that people might have, so probably shouldn't have said anything, because i don't really want to say what i do and as a result of that i am happy to accept the negative comments that come my way, its a case of no one really is going to believe it anyway.
  8. Take it or leave it, i have heard it, i never professed to say where or who from, I'm in the industry and just repeating it because i thought that might be of interest on a page dedicated to possible Josh Jenkins availability. Go figure..
  9. I would suggest we are as i have heard similar and that it will also depend on the coach at AFC, but there is legit interest.
  10. intersting hmm........ WWSW.. do you have news?
  11. Absolutely 100%. has to be on our radar.
  12. this is a by-product of a bad year and the need to be constantly updated on what we are doing trade wise and draft wise, but I'm hearing very little of what we are doing. Which in previous years has been a strength, we have not leaked a lot so i just hope we are active, i see Langdon not even confirmed from our point of view and no agreement has been reached. I keep reading that Geelong are into everyone, St Kilda, Carlton, Hawthorn, the dogs, but really nothing about us. i hope we are busy, the amount of players that get to other clubs fairly cheaply for third rounders makes me wonder why we are not doing those deals, this year there are a host of players that would improve our side, like Cutler and even josh Bruce, but we are not linked to these deals. As i said, this paranoia stems from the shocking year, but some news would be good, instead of articles about players saying they had good years when everyone of the 50k members we have would disagree strongly.
  13. Fair call, i guess its just that i see other clubs that welcome the history, embrace the heritage and acknowledge the past players and it seems like we dont? was just a suggestion anyway to try and instill some pride and love to the club, because ta the moment, unbelievably 12 months after we played in a prelim, the club feels like its a cold and miserable environment again.
  14. All good McQueen, valid point on the us eof first rounders, I hope Nev and Hibbo can bounce and have a good year next year.
  15. I was being a bit flippant with my remark about new game style, and agree with a lot of you post. One thing we should never compromise on is fitness, it keeps you in a lot more games.
  16. If they had to learn it on the run then its a red flag for our coaching and football department. It should have been drill'd in over and over again. And i might be one out here, but there was a new game style? i didnt see it? two way running isnta new game style, its just what is expected in a football side.. any football side, apparently not ours.
  17. That is a mind blowing read, if anyone is happy with what Brayshaw dished up this year then they should get out of the game, most of his efforts were half hearted, he had zero responsibility for how his disposal went in a contested situation (wasn't alone there) and 2 way running.. more like two wayS of running - slow and not fast . Its an awful article and a bit insulting.
  18. we really need to stop with the Brad Hill stuff, he is not coming to Melbourne, not happening, period!
  19. Yeah, its unlikely that he will do that so there is an element of fantasy about it but its 100% real in the fact that its what he has to do.
  20. I know we all see things differently which is great but IMO i think Hibbo and Jetta are almost done and Laird would be amazing for us.
  21. Thats exactley what i would do and we should, the Crows want to refresh their list, they would take pick 13 for him. As long as when we split the pick, we get a player from the Giants, we also need to refresh the list a bit so we need to get new faces in. I would do it in heartbeat, use pick 11 on the young fella from Norwood , Stephens, who looks a really good type and exact player we need.
  22. Its interesting watching the Australian cricket team get and the players get so much out of having a couple past greats back in the dressing room like Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting. I wonder if the club could benefit from something similar. How good would it be to have Neitz and Green or The Wiz just in and around teh group for a couple days, just to install a bit of fun, a bit of comrade and just to lett he players know that the club is united and all behind them, they have another avenue to go to have a chat, Neitz and Green on the training track, just helping out encouraging, just ambassadorial roles.. i think for one it would be amazing and it would straight away create a bit of "all in" culture. This is where i think Goodwin has to be less stubborn and open himself up a bit, let others in, exactly what Hardwick and Buckley did.. and look whats happened.
  23. That's not bad but i dont think Hibbo gets its done.. maybe its Hunt and another player?
