  1. We offered Jordon a contract but he asked for talks to pause so that he could focus on his football, so he has not been overlooked as implied
  2. Yes, seems so. There was that article earlier in the season where Hibberd said he was enjoying things one game at a time and would see how he felt by the end of the year

Hunter did seem a bit 'troubled' (what a word that avoids accountability) prior to coming to us, but has ended up fitting in well. I can't say I know much about his personality for certain beyond what had been reported previously (eg the drink driving) and how he is seen now by his MFC team mates. Not behaviour I condone, but it also seems to be in the past. The difference is that I've had some overlap with Bailey in real life via a family member. Rather than relying on media or rumours (and completely unrelated to the substances he enjoys), I dislike him very strongly based on that experience. Of course, Bailey could one day do and be better but I have no reason to believe he's changed... 🤷 So! That combined with the fact he doesn't really seem to fit a need for us, and that we don't really need to add more shonky kicks equals a big no to me. And an uncharacteristically strong stance against a player.
  4. WCW you're making me feel ghastly - from FOMO and also because I'll just have to be there in spirit! Strange to think I've had drinks with many fine folks from the Demon Army but somehow never you! I'm sure we can find a Tassie specific version of chandeliers or lampshades, maybe carousing at the Salamanca markets 😄 P.S. did I ever mention that you missed out on meeting Sparrow at a kebab store on the Gold Coast after the game? 😉

Never, thanks. Doesn't have the skills to justify it. One of my least favourite players in the league, would be in breach of our no [censored] head policy.
  6. It's amazing how one can perceive oneself versus the perception of others 😜 Unfortunately I cannot make it because I'm still living in Sydney... but I will see you in Hobart!
  7. The 3AW call on Viney is just so so good! (They call Melksham JVR in the call of the Melksham grab though 😂)
  8. I apologise for visiting Melb for work this week and then returning to Sydney on Friday due to another work commitment and missing the game. What a gameee!!!
  9. 😭❤💙❤💙❤💙❤💙❤💙❤!!!!
  10. I'm a little scarred from the start of the year where they just blew us away in the midfield until the lights blew out. Hoping we can capture some of that magic from the final 10 minutes!
  11. The deliberate misspelling of words in this chain of posts is really making me lost it!
  12. My grandma had a similar misunderstanding, when she first arrived in Australia. She told her husband not to eat the passionfruit pavlova because of all the "flies" on it 😂
  13. Really appreciate it, Andy! Especially because I'm travelling uncharacteristically early this morning and the podcast is music to my ears!
  14. Visualising success worked out! Hopefully he takes confidence from tonight and it carries him through the rest of the season
  15. It goes against the natural order of things to cheer for the Pies, but I keep on having to remind myself it's in our best interests Somehow I have a soft spot a mile wide for the Doggies, probably because of 21 and my boss!
  16. Kane: "hmmm Clayton plays for the Demons... how to get the most click bait out of this... I know, alliteration! Debacle! Disgrace!"
  17. Yes and it's not rocket science to take advantage of Demon Army's offer of shared resources either for the Alice game. Oh well, just another disappointing moment from GWS. But having witnessed our cheer squad in action, I'm just surprised at the lack of effort. Good thing we've got the best cheer squad in the league 😁
  18. It does seem like a lack of enthusiasm... since printing and mailing is not that impossible! Maybe they also lack experience? Well, when I see the most die hard GWS fans tomorrow (who apologised to me on Monday about our loss 🥲 ), I'll tell her to join the cheer squad
  19. Christ that is poor form of GWS. Was the problem the club didn't want to splash cash?
  20. Enjoy overseas, Andy!
  21. It could be a clean slate, since everyone would be igneous to his past!
  22. From memory, Trac was also one of the top score assists earlier in the season pre Oliver injury. So even though Trac's goal kicking has been down this season and 2022, it does explain some of our woes... agree also with your point about fatigue @A F
  23. Please, don't besmirch my Dees credentials. I'm a pity fan for GWS 😁
  24. From the sample size of my office and Sydney friends - most of them are agnostic regarding the AFL. There are probably 5 or 6 Sydney based people I regularly speak about AFL with (and even then a few of them are humouring me). Generally it's good natured jabs about how I should follow the Swans or laughing if the Dees have lost (which I bring on myself through too much passion haha) Interestingly, people are more focused on NRL and Rugby Union but even that is lukewarm. I've negotiated contracts against the NRL and asked a few questions of colleagues about the NRL competition structure for that purpose... most of them could not answer! @jnrmac i assume you're asking about the "they" in my original post - this response should tell you enough!
